Since most of these home pages have a very high page rank, your site will get a boost. The question is whether this boost is worth the large amount of money you will put into the PR companies pocket. No it is not. Use that money to buy (though I do not recommend this) links from high-ranked websites and you will pay less and receive more benefit.

How to throw a poker run
My first motorcycle was a 1957 Harley Davidson. When I found the bike for sale I had no money, but I knew I needed to have this motorcycle. So I came up with a way to raise the money and throw a great party at the same time. I threw a Poker Run. The concept of the game is easy. Each person tries to make the best 5 card poker hand.
The way it is played is, each bike has to ride along a planed rout, every few miles there are checkpoints at each checkpoint along the way each bike must stop and receive a card. Along the rout there are 7 checkpoints, and at the end the rider with the best 5 card poker hand wins the prize
Over the years the poker run has been adopted to lovers of many different hobbies.
The poker run was originally an event bikers played on their Harley's, but over the years it has been borrowed by boaters and even runners.
Throwing a poker run is fairly simple but takes time and some not to hard work. The first thing you need to do is get approval from the towns that your poker run will go thru. There may be some paperwork and fees.
You will also need to make sure that at the end of the run is at a park or event hall. Depending on where you live you may also need a permit for the park.
Next you will need riders. By figuring out how much you want to have for the prize money and how much the part after the poker ride will cost you can figure out how many riders you will need and how much the entrance fee will be, but it should be no more then $100 per bike.
The next thing you will need to do is register riders. The best way to do this is to make a website, go to biker bars and biker events in your area. If you live in New York don’t go to Daytona Bike week to sign up riders, most people will not travel that far for a poker run. Try to get locals.
After you have registered the riders you now have to plan for the party. Along with registering riders for your poker run you should also sell tickets so friends and family can join in the party after the ride is over and the poker winner is declared.
The best way to advertise the party is on a local radio station and with posters around town. The more people you can get the more money you will have for a prize and for whatever cause you are trying to raise money for.
You can either, buy your own food and get some friends to help cook or you can look in the phonebook for a caterer and you should be able to find a caterer who will throw you a great BBQ.
Then all you need to do is wait for the big day and enjoy all the bikes, poker, beef and beer.

Life Advice: A Lost Friend Speaks
When my friend sensed that in a few weeks the light of life was about to be extinguished, and that there was no more hope for him, he called me to his side and said, "If only I had lived my life differently, I might not have felt such an emptiness now. Promise me," he caught my hand, "Promise me that you won't make the same mistake." And when I asked him what mistakes, he asked me to get a pen and paper and to jot down his last words. Here they are in condensed form:
1) Talk less; listen more.
2) Listen to your grandfather's stories about his youth. When he's gone, you will relive the bond through these memories.
3) Invite friend over for a snack or dinner even if the house is a mess.
4) Eat popcorn in the living room even though its messy.
5) Invite the friends who have children home. Don't worry about their children creating a mess.
6) Sit on the grass even though it dirties your pants.
7) Never buy something just because it lasts for a long time or because it is practical.
8) Stay in bed and at home when sick and stop pretending that the world cannot go one without me for a day.
9) Light up the wonderfully crafted candles and let them burn out. Better this than they accumulate dust in the closet.
10) Share life's responsibilities with a partner, not only expenses.
11) (Meant for Women) Instead of waiting for the pregnancy to get over, cherish each moment in your heart. Understand that the life in you is the only chance you will get to help god create magic.
12) Let your children hug and kiss you whenever they wish to. Don't stop them by saying things like: later, go wash your hands first, we have to eat dinner.
13) Say the following two phrases as often as possible: "I love you" and "I am sorry."
14) Stop worrying about who loves or and who doesn't or about what others have or don't have.
15) Cherish all personal human relations.
16) Play with a pet every day. Laugh and run with it and take part in all its antics.
17) Spend more time with the people who love you.
18) Stop sweating because of all the small details and problems of life.
19) Grab every moment, look at it and live it. That moment will never return again.
Her name was Susan, and she had one six year old daughter. Susan taught me these few basic ideals that I have tried to follow in honour of her memory. It has made me a better man, a much nicer husband and in general, a happier person. Even now I can hear her say that God has blessed each and every one of us, and that we should accept these blessings and strive to become stronger both physically, mentally and also emotionally. I will always remember what she said to me the last time we met: "Jack, you are lucky. Don't blow it."

What Is A Brochure Site?
When you look around and research what people think the purpose of a brochure is you find suggestions such as:
“The first question you need to ask yourself is ‘What does my company want this brochure to do?’ or ‘What purpose will the brochure serve?’ and ‘What target audience is it intended to reach?’”
When you then research what the answers to these questions are you get things like: ‘to provide information’; ‘to enhance our image’; ‘as a PR tool’; ‘to provide product information’.
Then when you Google ‘WHAT IS A BROCHURE SITE?’ this is the answer you get: “A small web site consisting of the basic information about an organisation. This would be similar in content to a flyer or leaflet.”
Made us think.
And what we thought was that all the definitions are pretty mealy mouthed and miss the point.
The point being that the purpose is surely to MARKET [i.e. engage in the commercial promotion, sale, or distribution of Z] or SELL [i.e. deal: do business].
If it isn’t then why would any business add to costs by producing said brochure?
[Back to mealy mouthed answers there!]

Website Value - What's Your Business' Website Worth?
If you were asked to put a value on your website what would it be? Perhaps you paid a small fortune and commissioned a top design agency to build it. It would still be worth at least what you paid for it, right?
It's a sad fact that a great number of websites are worthless. They give no value to their owners and are little more than a drain on resources. Would it surprise you if your website was classed as one of these?
The World Wide Web is made up of millions of webpages so it's not surprising that many are rarely seen by human eyes other than their owners' and creators'. These unfulfilled webpages are like trees in a forest. They can make as much noise as they want, but if no one is around to hear it then who is to know they ever made a sound? Too many of those that are seen by people are poor at encouraging progress through the sales cycle i.e. they don't persuade the reader enough to progress to the next stage whether that's submitting a sales query or making a purchase.
So how have you determined the value of your website? Have you only taken into account its cost to build and maintain or have you also considered what it actually does for you and the value it adds to your business? Ask yourself this question, if you were to put your website up for sale, how would you convince a potential buyer that it was worth the asking price? Would you sell it on the basis of how much it cost to build or on the strength of the benefits it brings?
Do you think owners of expensive luxury cars are motivated by how much they cost to build, run and service or because of things like the prestige they give the owner, the superior performance and higher levels of comfort? In this context, it may be easier to recognise value and worth, but when it comes to your website can you do the same? If your website provides you with no measurable benefits or is a tree in a lonely forest then how can you be sure it's worth anything?
Suppose we're comparing two very different websites; one cost £10,000 to build, looks very impressive, but converts poorly, generates little interest and the other cost £1,000 to build, wouldn't win any design contests, but consistently generates fresh leads and converts a high percentage of prospects into customers. Which of these websites do you think is worth more?
Now ask yourself again, what's the value of your website?

My Space Is Having A Helio Of A Time
Myspace has caused a phenomenon on the Internet proving particularly popular with teenagers and those in their early twenties. It comes as little surprise, especially when you consider how long they’ve been threatening it, that myspace have teamed up with Helio in order to offer mobile myspace.
With 55 million users it is easy to see the attraction that persuaded myspace and Helio to form this partnership but what’s in it for the customers? Well, quite a lot actually. The main ambition of the service is to allow users to read and post to their myspace site or blog.
Obviously, there have had to be some modifications to the original online myspace, in order to optimize the service to the mobile market but nonetheless the service will be geared to the same people with a similar look and feel. A mail box, bulletin, blog posting and photo profiles are among some of the features.
In line with this news, Helio have released details of two cell phones that will be shipped solely as myspace cell phones. Both the phones use EVDO technology to deliver an exceptional wireless broadband connection. They also display clear, crisp pictures and video playback scenes. Both handsets also feature 70MB of internal memory, MP3 player, 2.0 mega-pixel camera and expansion card slots. Both are easily capable of coping with just about any myspace work you happen to need doing.
In return myspace are updating many of the features already available to users, but especially for those who intend to subscribe to the Helio mobile myspace service. These changes include the capability to upload photos from your Helio device to an increased storage allotment for photos. Only Helio users will get this photo storage increase though. Other users will even be able to see when you are logged on using a Helio handset or device.
With news that the service will go live during spring in the U.S tongues are already wagging and myspacers are getting excited at the prospect. Mobile Myspace has been promised for some time now but this is the first true sign that it will finally go ahead. The Helio partnership is likely to be a test of how the service performs on the mobile market and things go well don’t be too surprised if myspace.com phones start popping up all over the place. As mentioned, myspace has more than 50 million devoted members, so it is difficult to see the service not taking off.

Laying Horses The Easy Way
One of the best laying strategies that I often employ is to lay very short priced favourites with the sole intention of backing them later on in the event. Let me explain, let us say that you are looking at a tennis match between Tim Henman and a low ranked unseeded player in a first round match at Wimbledon. Tim Henman is the reigning champion and one of the most gifted
players ever to hold a racket and his opponent basically has no or very little chance
The odds of 1.04 on the exchanges reflects the Swiss players supremacy and expected victory. But you have to understand that despite Henman's supremacy and his almost certain victory, he is after all going up against another top tennis player. He is not playing some semi decent local club player. This means that there will likely be periods in the match where he will not dominate his opponent.
When you look at the result of a tennis match like this and it reads 7-5,6-4, 6-0, it looks pretty convincing for the winner. Of course over the entire space of the match, that is what it is. But if we were to break the match down into periods then what tends to reveal itself is that the weaker opponent will have good spells
What looking at the overall result will not show was that Henmans was 5-5 in the first set and a break of serve down in the second set. It is these periods that will have a profound effect on the relative prices of both competitors on the betting exchanges.
A clear betting exchange strategy now presents itself. When you LAY any competitor at a massively short price and 1.04 is a massive 1-25, your maximum potential downside is known. If you back Henman at 1.04 for £100 then you only stand to win £4. But the reverse is true when you are laying. If you Lay Henman to that same £100 and he wins then your liability is only £4.
In fact, it is less than £4 because if things fail to go your way and Henman just simply steam rollers his opponent and his price quickly shortens to 1.01 and stays there, you can still back Federer at this price to reduce your losses. But if as expected, the match enters one of those phases where Henman is playing loosely or hasn't warmed up yet or maybe is lacking motivation against his journeyman opponent, then his "well up for it" opposition may start to enjoy relative success in various stages of the match.
When Henmans's price hits 1.10 when it is 5-5 in the first set then you can back him for that same £100 to win £10 should he win and thus lock in a bet to nothing. How to Play Texas Holdem
Texas Holdem has become such a popular Game that most tournaments now days are Texas Holdem games, and there are even 2 or 3 television shows dedicated to the game. Texas Holdem is a 5 card poker game, but instead of each layer being dealt 7 cards, the dealer deals 5 cards in the center of the table, these cards are used by all the players to make the best hand possible. To make your hand each player is also dealt 2 cards and the object is to use the cards in your hand and the ones on the table to make the best hand you can.
There are 5 rounds of Texas Hold’em Poker and they are:
The Pre-Flop
The Flop
The turn
The River
The Showdown
During a Texas Holdem game between each round there is a round of betting, and is when players with bad hands may fold.
In the game of Texas Holdem the first round is the pre flop. During this round the big and the small blinds place their bets, the big and small blinds are the first two players to the dealers left. Before the players are allowed to look at their cards the small blind must place a bet of half the table minimum and the next player who is the big blind must place a bet of the table minimum and then the dealer gives each player their hole cards. The hold cards is the name of the 2 cards each player has that are exclusively theirs, these cards guarantee that each player has a chance to make a better hand then the other players, without them all you would have is the 5 communal cards.
In Texas Holdem the next round is the flop. This is when the dealer deals out the first 3 of the 5 communal cards. It is during this round that most players will fold; betting in this round is usually very conservative because 2 more cards are still needed and betting big on the chances that the cards you need are the ones that will appear is taking a big chance with your money, one that can coast you to bust out of the game early.
The third round is called the turn. The turn is when the dealer puts out the 4th communal card. At this point you can get a good idea of your chances of getting a winning hand and now is when the betting starts to heat up, and more people will drop out of the game.
The river is the last of the 5 cards to be turned over by the dealer. At this point all the cards available to make the hands have been put out, this is also the last time to bet before turning over the cards.
The last round of Texas Holdem is the showdown, this is when all players turn over their cards and a winner is declared.You now have all the information you need to start playing Texas Holdem.

When I joined the Adsense Program in 2004, I made $0.43 for the first month, $0,91 for the second month and so forth.

There is no need to look to the world wide web for your customers as they are right there in the town where you live now and the information you obtain to sell comes from those who will buy from you in return.
Nothing will generate as much interest among your prospective customers as ‘Nostalgia’. Invite anyone to talk about the ‘good old days’ and they will chat forever and ever. If you can obtain a ready supply of personal memories of your hometown along with facts about its local history and combine them into a monthly magazine, which is then sold around town, you are on to a certain winner.

The satisfaction from being able to publish a persons memories and to see the joy it gives them and those who read about them is greater than you will ever receive from an online business selling the self same products as countless other people.

Hollywood And Sports Logos
Back in the late 1980’s the citizens of Los Angeles celebrated the many victories of their professional ice hockey team, the Los Angeles Kings. Perhaps that realization planted the seed of an idea. That seed of an idea started to grow. That seed of an idea was most likely the foundation for the area’s second professional ice hockey team. Still that seed grew very slowly at first. For a while, the creation of a second ice hockey logo seemed a long way off. No one could really come up with just the right name for that second ice hockey team.
Then the Disney Company released the movie about “The Mighty Ducks.” The movie drew big crowds to the movie theaters, and it brought good sales, when released as a DVD. The movie also seemed to offer the answer for which so many had been searching. It suggested a name for a second ice hockey team.
The movie released by Disney not only offered the people of southern California a possible name, it also gave them a more colorful logo. Even if this proposed expansion team failed to have the quality players found on the Kings team, it would at least have a very colorful logo. No one really put that idea in words, yet that must have been the thinking of those who would have to market the new team.
After all, the marketing of an expansion team is always a challenge. Such a team does not have a great deal of name recognition. People are not yet familiar with the team’s logo. Both of those looming obstacles would be removed from an expansion team named the “Ducks.” That was the beauty of using that name for a new ice hockey team.
