Google Ca$h Machine: Success Finally!

My name is Brandy Gleeson. Over the last few years I’ve tried everything from Amway to Ebay. As an Amway distributor, I contacted plenty of prospects. I bought the products and sales literature. I even paid to attend the sales conventions and seminars. In the end I realized I was spending far more than I was making, and the people above me, who had been doing it longer than I had, weren’t making a profit either. Eventually, I started seeking other opportunities.

I’d heard plenty of stories about people striking it rich on Ebay, so I thought I’d try it. First of all, the Ebay system takes a lot of work to figure out. You can spend days reading the help files and when you finally get something posted, it looks so unprofessional, no one wants to buy. Most people who get good sales on Ebay have spend many hours making their ads look professional. That can take a lot of time, especially when you have multiple products and single items to sell. Secondly, you have to have plenty of resources. You have to have a digital camera and a scanner, because no one will buy items that aren’t listed with pictures. Also, you have to sink a lot of money into your business to keep inventory on hand. Studying buying patterns to see what people are buying and what makes them buy can take years and a lot of money spent.

Throughout the process I began to realize how much work was involved in all the business opportunities, with little or no return. For awhile I gave up. At the time, I was making minimum wage and taking care of my two boys and my brother’s daughter, after he robbed a gas station and went to jail. My sister in-law was in treatment for drugs and alcohol so she couldn’t take care of her daughter. I was a month behind on the rent every month, and had to use payday loans all the time just to keep up.

Things were going like that for quite awhile. Two months ago I ran into an old classmate from high school. He was wearing a suit and drove a Lexus. I told him things weren’t going too well, and he admitted he felt bad for me. He told me he might know of an opportunity I might be interested in, but he would tell me more that night over dinner. I accepted his invitation.

The next part is going to sound like something from TV. It’s going to sound really corny, but it’s true. Over dinner, he told me all about Google Cash Machine by Sebastian Foss. Over the last few months he had researched practically every single business opportunity out there. Then he found Google Cash Machine. He said over the last two months he watched his profit grow from $50 a day to $250 a day with an automated cash making system that practically anyone could learn and do. He said Sebastian Foss gave him all the information he needed to make substantial profit from a business that he only had to maintain 15 minutes a day. Of course, that got my attention, and I signed up.

There’s a lot of marketing claims that say you’ll be making cash within 15 minutes. That’s a big exaggeration. It takes about a day or two days to set everything up, but now over the last two months my profit has grown to 125 dollars a day. That’s 3750 per month! Now, I’m able to buy my kids the clothes they want, eat good food, and pay the rent on time. Next, I’m going to start saving up for a house.

I’m not going to lie. If I sign people up I get a commission from each sale, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, because if you sign up you’ll have the same opportunities to make a steady income, payoff debts, buy the things you need and want, and live the lifestyle you want to live. The best way to start is to go to http://www.adventmotion.com/myplace/.

Google Adsense: Your Content Better Not Suck

I wanted to take a few minutes and write to you about something that is vitally important in building websites with Google Adsense for fun and profit.

I’m sure that you’ve heard this before, but I’m going to beat a dead horse right now, because it’s really, REALLY important to understand, and newbies and even experienced people STILL don’t get it (or maybe want to get it).

Let me shout this from the rooftops, so all will hear it...

Without good content, your venture into Google Adsense, and getting any kind of profits from Adsense is going to be tough, tough tough.

In fact, I’d say that it was almost impossible to generate any long term profits without good, solid content of some kind on your website.

Content is something that you simply can’t ignore, and it's a crime above crime if you do. Search engines love content and depend on it to kick back quality content results to its end users, people like you and me, or that guy who's looking for what you've got to give him, whether it's actual products, a service or just a Google Adsense ad.

Without good content for search engines to use and direct people to you, your website will never be found by anyone. In short, without content, your isolation from your end user is pratically guaranteed.

In case you haven't gotten it about the importance of content, let me one more thing. The big search engines, in many cases, even check your page for content and relevancy when you buy pay-per-click traffic. And without relevant content, they won't accept your ad.

So guess what? You need to be relevant, and you need some content to be relevant with.

Then there the problem with Google Adsense dropping advertisements into your site that have nothing to do with your site. I'll talk about PSAs (Public Service Ads), and how to avoid these no-paying ads in another message soon.

Readers love content, and will go out of their way to find good things to read in the subjects they care about. And if you provide them good content, they'll come looking again for you.

Without good content that people will come back to again and again, you’ll be a one shot website, and people won’t come back.

I’ve seen different webmasters and builders use specialized programs for page building. These programs build what is commonly called “scraper sites”. These sites take info from other web pages, and assimilate keyword-rich pages that supposedly will rank high on search engines. Granted these pages are total nonsense, and while they generate huge traffic from their high rankings, they usually don’t stay around long.

This scraper strategy may work for a while, but eventually search engines like Google will find out, and penalize your site.

Many sites are using programs that generate content. But people know what those sites are about the minute your page opens up on their browser. And once again, the search engines may very well pick up on the fact that you’re using artificial means to generate pages on your site, and ban you. It’s not worth it.

So you ask: how do I find relevant info to use in my site?

1. Explore Other Sites

No, don’t steal articles word for word from other places. But ideas for stories? That’s a different story (literally).

As Solomon said the Bible, “there’s nothing new under the sun.” But there’s always a “new” slant on content, and you’re a good brainstorm away from finding it.

Use your head. Check out what others are doing on their sites, and then combine the things you like in their content and ideas to make your content sing.

Be objective when looking other people’s content. If something grabs you, ask yourself why? Ask yourself why that angle of idea appealed to you when you came across it? And when you visit each site, ask yourself as you leave, “why would I come back to this site?”

2. Remember: The News Of The World and Your Adsense Site Are Connected.

If you’re maintaining an Adsense-oriented site, you need to be a “mini-expert” on your niche. That means reading material from others, and seeing how they can affect your Google Adsense site. You may think I’m repeating what I said above. I’m not. I’m talking about being personally involved in your content.

In your niche, affected by the winds of change, fickle buyers and surfers, and the ever changing landscape of the world and the web are sub niches. By keeping even the slightest tabs on your niche, you can align it to happenings outside of your niche that will affect your niche itself.

Example: One of the heavy keywords that came up this week when I was putting together my Top 500 Google Adsense Keyword List (available every two weeks for free, by the way, from http://axalda.info/topkeywords.html) was “cheap student airline tickets”. Of course, people always want to travel cheap, but why students?

Because it’s Spring Break, and kids are looking to spend Mom's and Dad's money for two weeks. If I had a niche, that I could have tied that information into a page on my travel or vacation website, I’d probably do very well in Adsense.

3. Read Magazines

Read a book or two. In many cases, magazines don’t follow trends—they make them. If you can get your hands on a publication or two that covers aspects of your niche, plunk down a buck or two, and get inspired.

There are a lot more ideas about how top get good content. Use your head, and fix it on your niche. Remember, like I said, you’re only one good brainstorm away from Adsense gold.

Till Next Time, Keep Building!

Google, Updates, Upgrades, Penalties And Filters

My site dropped from no.1 spot to nowhere. Google tech people replied to my email telling me I must have hidden text or used some kind of 'illegal technique'! Why don't they just admit it's their mistake?

Standard reply
It's a standard reply, nothing else. I would imagine that 9 times out of ten when Google get an email about a site that has dropped into oblivion it has something to do with using techniques that go against their webmaster guidelines. It may not be the case with you but from their perspective I should think it a reasonable reply in the circumstances.

There seems to be some confusion about 'penalty'
A 'penalty' is applied to sites using tricks and sneaky stuff to boost their rankings in Google. A good recent example would be BMW who were using one page for the search engines and another for the web visitor. Since this was contrary to Google's guidelines, BMW were removed from the index entirely -- they were penalised (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ramping-up-on-international-webspam/).

Filtered
Another type of 'penalty' although it really is a purely an algorithm filter, is a webmaster using things like hidden text or keyword-stuffing, for example. This gets aggressively filtered (assuming the site is not removed from the index) by the application of the filter(s) which then causes the site to drop down the search engine rankings. It may seem like a penalty but it is the result of filtering, not penalty.

Penalty is different from 'ignoring' links
When links are ignored, there is no penalty being applied, the links simply don't count. The site itself is not penalised, it is merely the case that some of the links into that site are not counted. This measure not only filters out link farms and spam techniques but also prevents a competitor from acting against another site by spamming in order to attempt to incur aggressive filtering.

Google does not owe you a living
Google does not owe any webmaster a living! I must mention this as many webmasters seem to forget at times, that it is up to them to keep their sites filled with visitors, not Google, or for that matter, any search engine.

If Google are busy with rebuilding their infrastructure, their database, their spiders, their algorithms or for that matter, the breakfast bar at Googleplex, and it adversely affects your website, then it's just too bad!

Complaining to Google that your website isn't at the #1 spot any more is like complaining to the bestseller booklist that you should still be at the top of the bestseller list even though your book isn't selling as well! If your site no longer meets the current market requirements then you need a new product. The market isn't going to change to suit you.

Panic, Florida and Big Daddy
Now is definitely NOT the time to panic. Google are upgrading. Things will be all over the place for a while yet. If you take drastic measures for what was up until recently a highly placed site, you run the risk of completely ruining your placements.

During the infamous 'Florida update', many webmasters panicked and began changing, tweaking and altering things that had no bearing on their ultimate placement. However, thanks to the 'adjustments' made in haste, they did manage to bring problems on themselves that took months to recover from once the dust had settled and everyone had a much better understanding of what had occurred.

Steady at the wheel, Captain!

Google, Paranoia or a Cause for Concern?

Copyright 2006 Sharon Housley

Anti-Google sentiment is on the rise. Web pundits have tossed around monopoly theories and privacy advocates have warned of a day of reckoning. While Google has made friends on Wallstreet, it has disappointed the technical evangelists who were once its fiercest followers. Google has grown into a big scary company and web watchers are expressing their concerns about the information Google gleans from their various services.

Google Analytics is free, no one can beat the price, but what is the real cost? The cost is your data. While not terribly important when analyzed alone, when aggregated with other information Google has access to, it could be damaging. Data mining has made the collection of data meaningful. It has become easier to find patterns and trends in large volumes of data.

While any of that information independent of other data, might be non-threatening or irrelevant to someone doing analysis, when combined with other data Google has access to, it can paint a very clear picture of how, not only individual companies are performing, but the aggregate data could possibly paint a picture of how entire business sectors or industries are performing.

The big question is how will Google use this information? Will it affect search engine ranking? Will it influence keyword costs?

Paranoia? Lauren Weinstein doesn't seem to think so, her blog post entitled "The Dark Side of Google" http://lauren.vortex.com/archive/000108.html , paints a very clear picture of the danger of a single entity possessing all of the data.

According to a recent USA Today article "In just seven years, Google has emerged as one off the most influential companies of the 21st century, a multinational whose recent forays into classified ads, book publishing, video, Wi-Fi and telecom make its data empire ever more powerful." The article goes on further to quote Jeff Chester, head of the digital Center for Digital Democracy saying "Google could easily become the poster child for a national public movement to regulate data collection".

Lets take a look at Google's new analytics tool. As a reporting tool, Google Analytics offers good features and functionality. Google Analytics tells publishers who their website referrers are, what pages visitors are viewing, the length of the visitor stay, what items are purchased. Google Analytics data can be used to develop new technologies, and optimize pay per term influence ranking.

Google wants to make money, and like it or not, data is a commodity. Google will likely use the data from their various ventures to develop new technologies and personalize content. Conspiracy theorists believe that the Google's aggregate data will also be used to optimize the fees charged for pay-per-click, influence organic ranking or worse yet sold.

Unbeknownst to many users, privacy advocates say that Google's technology give Google the ability to collect enormous amounts of data about interests and online habits of web surfers. That said, Google's growth will continue to motivate privacy advocates and those in the technology field behind the Attention Truste movement to work together, to improve how personal information and subscription information is used online. I expect we will see a lot of energy and effort in this arena.

Lets face it, Google wants to make money; no, now that they are public they *need* to make money and like it or not, data is a commodity. Whether Google will use your data or not is still to be determined, but the fact remains they can if they choose to. Google's storage capacity, is as deep as its pockets, meaning that it is far ahead of competitors. All of this has motivated privacy advocates and eyes are on and will continue to be focused on Google and the type of data they are capable of collecting.

Google: Friend or Foe?

Don’t get me wrong, almost all of us love Google to death. It has single-handedly changed the direction of this entire industry to something that is accessible for everyone. However, while Google is the darling poster child of Wall Street and the general public, there lurks a danger of abuse. We will cover this in a bit, but first let’s look at a few years ago when the World Wide Web was still a novel concept.

We had a handful of methods of finding information. They were so-called search engines. Their names were Yahoo, Excite, Lycos, and of course Alta Vista. If someone wanted to find a piece of information on this “World Wide Web”, they would enter their keywords into one of the above named search engines and would then begin the long arduous process of sorting through a lot of garbage before finding what they were looking for. Somewhere along the way, each of these companies got it into their corporate heads that what people wanted was even more fluff thrown at them.

This is when they became portals instead of search engines. Instead of offering just search results for what we were looking for, we now had stock quotes, weather reports, movie reviews, news reports, health tips, beauty tips, sports scores, horoscopes, dating tips, entertainment gossip, shopping links, financial hints, games, and lastly ads. Lots of ads. In the late nineties, enter Google, which had a very simple vision and unique philosophy.

While every portal was busy trying to deliver us critical information about when to kiss our date and how to shave our pet, Google was refining its search algorithms to make it so it would yield our searched keywords in a more efficient fashion without us having to endure that arduous process of sifting through garbage data. This coupled with the unique philosophy of do-no-evil, garnered them much deserved attention and fame.

Their approach to a lot of the services they now do to this day is very well executed. Some would argue that they’ve become what they said they wouldn’t become in the beginning, which is a portal. However, if you really think about it, they did this in such an elegant and well thought out system. The entire portal features are completely optional, those that do not wish to utilize them, are not forced to look at it or participate in it.

However, as good as the methods and intentions of Google may be, there is indeed a danger to our continued dependency on them. If you use Google regularly, then you more than likely have a Google Account with them and utilize one of their specialized services. One of the automatic ones is that they hold your search history for you by default. Every time you run a Google query, it is recorded and stored by Google for your convenience at a later date.

It even records what sites you jump to from the Google search list. As our dependency on Google increases, we are putting all of our eggs in one basket per se. We trust Google with a lot of information about our personal lives. After all, why should we think twice about a company who has a philosophy of Do-No-Evil and actively shows its good intentions to the technology community? Perhaps we should be thinking twice about it though. It may not be Google that we have to worry about, but rather, the governments of the world. If they are able to tap into Google via legal means to garner information about its own citizens, then this is a serious breach of privacy and security. A current example of this is still ongoing in the United States of America.

Robert Petrick, an American citizen, is being held on trial for the murder of his wife. A terrible act that should go punished, yes. However, the interesting portion is how their prime evidence against him was obtained via Google, in which it was found that he searched for terms such as neck and snap days before the murder took place. I’m not here defending his acts, I along with mostly everyone else believe that murder is not an act to be taken lightly and the man, if guilty, should be prosecuted and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law. But my point is here that it is possible for the government to tap into Google to research about their own citizens.

The possibilities of abuse here are paramount. Google is unable to really defend our privacy in this regard, as they must comply with the law and divulge our information. Next time you are Googling, remember the fact that they record it. After all, searches can be quite telling of the person and their current intentions.

Good Online Business Ideas – Four factors that you should consider

Many people sometime in their lifetime consider starting a business of their own. Lately, these entrepreneurs at heart tend to resort to the internet as the medium for their businesses. Unfortunately, most of them fail drastically. The reason for that most of these people fail is not lack of effort, knowledge or business background; it is their business plan. Some of these eager individuals are so enthusiastic about their new quest, that they forget to stop and come up with a plan. Now, I don’t recommend you over-plan things to the extent that your idea will sound impossible. But do consider whether or not your business idea has the following parameters.

First of all, your idea has to be something that excites you and drives you. You have to be completely passionate about what you want to do in order to be successful at it. It is very hard to find a successful entrepreneur that doesn’t like what he is doing. When you think of a business idea, consider whether you would be happy doing that for the rest of your life. Is your investment buying you freedom or is it buying you a job? It is interesting to me to see the number of people that invest their life savings in a business that doesn’t appeal to them; you see them buying franchises to become professional burger flippers, pizza toppers and chicken fryers, and they slave away firing manager after manager in order to make their business successful.

Once you have found an idea that sounds exciting, you should try to determine whether you can afford to carry it out. In this stage of the process it is necessary to find out how much will it cost to launch the business, but most importantly, how much it would cost to keep the business running. At first it is very likely that you will not be profitable; you have to make sure you have enough capital to run the business for at least two or three months without making a penny. It pays to be pessimistic when it comes to this. You should find out whether you are going to need partners, investors or creditors in order to finance your operation.

Another point to consider is how much work (labor) will take to keep the business running. If you are going to require a customer service department, or shipping department, then you must see how many people you will need to employ. This will be closely related to the budget aspect of your business plan; the more people necessary to run the operation, then the more money you will need to start out.

Last, but not least you must consider the most important aspect of all –the one you have no control over: time. Do you have the time to manage your business or will you have to hire somebody else to manage it? The more time your business takes out of you, then the less time you will have to start another venture.

In conclusion, you want a business idea that drives you, something that is within your budget, it doesn’t take too much labor to keep it running and it is time friendly. Only with a business model like this will you be able to succeed online.

Going Beyond Search

Search, Search, Search, that's all that people are talking about today. Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are competing with each other to try to be the number one search engine. Why? Because the number one search engine gets huge amounts of traffic and traffic equals revenue. Whether it is from ads or from services they can market, search engines stand much to gain from 'being number one'.

But do the search engines as they stand today fit the demands and requirements of the next generation of internet users?

As the internet grows and the amount of information on it becomes so immense that for every simple search you get thousands of results, the efficiency of the search engine goes down. The search algorithms spend most of their time and computational resources trying to eliminate spam. As a result they can barely keep up with the load of information, let alone sort it in an efficient and intelligent way. So what happens to us, the end user, is that we don't get what we are really looking for. Now it takes longer to search through the search results than it takes to actually read the information being searched for.

Search engines must migrate to more intelligent ways of sorting data and handling search queries in order to keep up with the new generation of internet users, who are already finding alternatives to search because of lack of satisfaction. Blog communities, forums and other alternatives to search engines are becoming more and more popular these days, mainly because the search engines aren't as good as they should be and it is hard to find information searching on them.

An understanding of the information written on the web page and the query typed into the search box would help the search engines better themselves in every aspect of the process. The understanding of the information on the web page will enable the search algorithm to sort the page appropriately. Understanding the query can help the search engine supply more accurate results to the user being that the search engine knows what the user is looking for, not only the words the user entered in the query. An added bonus the search engine would get from understanding the query is that the ad engine can put more relevant ads on the page and hence greatly increase the advertising revenue.

Even some of the most basic elements of understanding are lacking in today's search algorithms. None of the search engines on the web today can resolve even the most basic ambiguity or understand other basic language elements like negation (not, besides, without etc..). Breaking the sentence down to its basic meaning would allow the algorithm to handle negation, and even more difficult tasks such as understanding a question placed in the search box.

For example, if a user searches for this: "I really need a cheap car that gives good gas mileage" an intelligent, understanding robot would be able to understand that the user is not looking for the words that describe the query, and only search for "cheap car, good gas mileage" and omit the words "I really need a" and "that gives" from the search query. Not only that, if the search engine is intelligent and has a knowledge base behind it, it will be able to know which cars are cheap and give good gas mileage and return those results, not limiting the results to the pages containing the words "cheap car, good gas mileage".

Most of the technologies needed to enable the above mentioned features have been around for a long time, but have not come to good use due to the lack of a strong syntactic engine. Linguistic Agents Ltd (LA), in Jerusalem Israel has developed such an engine that can enable all of these features plus many more. The technologies LA has created break the sentence down into a basic predicate/argument structure allowing the computer to extract the meaning of the sentence from the resulting output. These technologies use the latest advancements in theoretical linguistics and breaks the sentence down to its basic meaning almost in the same way that the brain breaks down the meaning of a sentence. This advanced level of understanding allows for extremely intelligent computation including, but not limited to, the intelligent search examples listed above.

Imagine a new age of computation where computers understand what they are told. All of this is made possible by LA's advanced algorithms. Not only are these algorithms extremely advanced, they are also very light weight. The entire Intelligence Engine is so small it can be imbedded in client side Flash movies or even in AJAX applications. This would allow the search engines to parse the query and extract the core meaning and only then transmit the query to the server, saving valuable resources.

Things are going to change as we move to more intelligent applications and "Go Beyond Search".

Getting Your Site Indexed Before You Launch

I've noticed that most SEO articles focus on what to do after you launch your site. Those that do deal with preparing your site for launch usually discuss on-site SEO like keyword research and meta tags. What tends to be neglected is the advantage that you can gain by getting your site indexed before you launch. With a little planning and a few hours of work it's easy to be indexed by Google, Yahoo, and MSN before your site goes live.

The key to getting your site indexed in the big three is getting links pointing to it from sites that are already indexed. When the search bots crawl those sites they will inevitably find the link to your site and your site will be added to their index. Follow these five steps a month before you launch and you'll be a step ahead of the game.

1. Register your domain name. You'd be surprised how many people wait until the last minute to do this. The sooner you register your domain, the sooner you can get some quality links pointing to it and get it indexed.

2. Put up a home page. Make a “coming soon” page with your logo, information about your site, and expected launch date. You can also add a form for people to sign up for email updates about your site. This starts building your email marketing list before you even launch.

3. Start a blog and sign up for Feedburner. Put up a blog at www.yoursite.com/blog. It doesn't matter if you use WordPress, Blogger, or whatever blog platform you prefer, just make sure you host it on your site. Make a few posts about your site, what people can expect when it launches, and why your site will be unique. After your first post, sign up for a Feedburner account at http://www.feedburner.com/. Under 'Publicize' in your account make sure to sign up for 'Ping Shot'. This will notify blogging directories of your posts which hopefully will result in a few links to your site.

4. Write a few articles and submit to directories. Regardless of what your site is about, there is certainly a topic relating to your site that you could write an article about. For example, if your site is going to sell fitness equipment, you could write an article about how to build a home-gym. Or if you are going to rate and review new cars, you could write an article about how to shop for a new car. After you've written and proofread your articles, submit them to article directories like Ezine Articles (http://www.ezinearticles.com/) and iSnare (http://www.isnare.com/). Be sure to include a description of your new site and a link back to it in the resource box. Again, this should result in a few links to your site.

5. Get a link from an indexed site. Steps 3 and 4 should result in some links from indexed sites which should then ensure your site to be indexed. But it can't hurt to get a few more on your own to be certain. When I launched my last site, I linked to it from my personal blog, which I knew was indexed. If you don't have that option, you can ask someone with a blog or site related to yours to mention it. If you can't find anyone willing to do it for free, you could offer them some free advertising on your site when you launch in exchange for the link.

Getting yourself indexed before you launch gives you a head start on your SEO and will allow your site to have a more immediate impact. Why wait until you launch? Get started a month early and you'll reap the benefits when launch day rolls around.

Getting Started With Videoblogging And Get Traffic Fast!

Videoblogging is the next generation of posting ideas and products over the internet. Everybody knows about textblogging. Now they use videos for a better way of expression. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it. If pictures say a thousand words, videoblogging exceeds that by far.

A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and a whole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS. This is technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.

Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing their selves. Now if you put this on a business prospective, you are up to a lot of benefits. Think of it as a powerful tool in making showing your prospective customers your line of products or your services. It’s just like showing a commercial all for free. And if you videoblog through RSS, then most probably you are getting your target market.

People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof and be sure that they are getting their money’s worth before shelving their dimes on it. All of us know the influence of a thirty second commercial. The effect of videoblogging is similar to that. You show your product, people watch it. If they like it, they buy it. If you present it good enough, they’ll buy the product even if they don’t need it.

Now on the web, things are pretty much static, unlike in television in which all are moving. If you post something that is mobile, it would most likely catch attention. Now imaging your product parading in all it’s royalty through videoblog. You’ll get phone call orders in no time.

If your business is just starting up, you can create a videoblog right at your own home. All you need is your web camera, microphone, video software, and lights. For as long as you know how to use your camera, then you can create a videoblog.

Invest in a good web camera. The higher its resolution is the better the output. And you like to present your goods in the optimum way so get the best one possible. Make a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Just make sure you are getting the best profile for each. Get those creativity juices flowing.

Lights are important in a production. Make sure you illuminate entirely the area you are going to use to create videoblog. The brighter the area, the crispier the images will be. You can also use lighting effects for added appeal to the presentation.

Should you require sounds for your videoblog, you need a microphone. Record you voice as a voice over for promoting the product and its benefit to consumers. Sounds are as important as videos on a videoblog. It is advisable to make your sound effects as enticing as the video.

Your video editing software can be any program. You need this to finalize your work. You can add sounds, delete some bad angles, or insert some still pictures in there too. Some programs are user-friendly and can be used even with zero knowledge on video editing. Even simple video editing programs should do the trick. Select your background carefully too. The light affects the presentation so make sure that the background and the light complements each other.

Videoblogging is a great tool but it also has it downside. It may slow down the computer so other may steer clear of it. Download time may also be time consuming especially if customer is still on a dial- up connection.

But don’t let those stop you. Let videoblogging be an alternative for you, though it is best to still keep the text and pictures present in your presentation to accommodate all possible viewers of your site.

Nowadays, the more creative you are in presenting your product to the market, they more you are likely to succeed. Videoblogging offers an interactive way of selling. You involve the customers. You instill in them the advantage of your goods. And at times, those are enough to make a sale.

Getting Started With Google Adsense

It's probably one of the hottest topics out there, and with good reason. Where else can you get paid over and over again for doing something once?

Of course I'm talking about Googles Adsense program, for website publishers who don't mind placing a small bit of code into their sites to show ads in return for a share of the profits.

It's relatively easy to get started with Google Adsense, as all you need to have is a website or blog on which to show the Adsense ads, and a Google Adsense Publishers Account. To get an Adsense account you need to go to www.Google.com/adsense and apply for an account, as long as your website complies with their terms, you will be accepted and be able to log in to create your Adsense ads. If you don't have a website, you can setup a blog for fr.ee at http://www.blogger.com put up some content, and submit this. Blogger is also owned by Google, and some people claim this gives you a better chance of acceptance, whether it does or not you decide for yourself.

For the next part, once you are logged in you need to choose what type of ads to display, link units are just one line links to sites related to your sites keywords, ad units are the blocks of code you see everywhere with a short description, a link and a url for each site advertised. Once you have chosen which ad type to display, you can then choose the size and format of the Adsense box. This is where you must make a decision to ensure it fits in with your site, where you are going to place it.

Be aware that irregular sized and shaped adsense boxes work better than the regular ad sizes, 468x60 is immediately picked up as an ad due to banners being this size for so long online and has a low clickrate, while the 336x280 and 300x250 adsense blocks work much better. There is also some arguments as to whether you should blend the ad into your site by using the color palette Adsense gives you to edit the ads colours to make the colours the same as your site, or to make them stand out by making them a different colour, this will depend on your site, and you can test to see what works best.

After you have setup the format, colour scheme and type of ad, you will get the code to add to your site. Before you go ahead and paste it in, it's a good idea to setup channel tracking. Setup different channels named so that you will know what it is about, and this will enable you to track which ads are working, on which sites by changing them around, and tagging them with different channel ID's. This is one of the most overlooked parts of Adsense, the ability to track your ads through channels affords you the ability to test and tune to get the ideal colours, and placement for your adsense blocks.

Adsense does a good job of finding ads related to your site, and you have no input into what will be shown. Sometimes it gets confused, so you may have to tweak your sites copy to make the keywords more prominent so Adsense can do a better job of targeting your visitors with the ads displayed. Obviously the better the ads target your visitors, the more relevant they will be and the better the clickthrough rate.

As we already said, Adsense is a great way to make some income, and some people are even making a good living from it, it's residual income, fairly easy to setup and low maintenance. If nothing else it will help pay the hosting fees for your website, so why not get started with Google Adsense today?

Getting Started Making Money On The Internet: Finding Your Passion

One of the hardest decisions to make concerning starting a home business is what kind of business to start! Research proves that in order to have the determination and drive to grow a business, you need to have an emotional investment in it. 9 times out of 10 that requires having a passion for what you do. However, a lot of women wanting to work at home mistakenly believe they don’t have a marketable talent or skill. Here is how any woman can find a niche for her business that will tap into her personal passions!

First off, you will need an idea notebook. This is a great tool for the learning process, and you will use it in all three steps of Women-on-the-Net.com’s step by step approach! It can be as simple as a 79 cent spiral notebook. A highlighter is also helpful to help you pick out the ideas you want to implement. You may even wish to have 3 highlighter colors, that way, after every day’s notetaking session, you can highlight with one color, the “No way that’s not for Me’s”, another color for the “Maybe, I’ll look into it more’s” and the last color for “YES, PERFECT’s!” This will make it easier to put together a business plan later. (Don’t let the idea of a business plan scare you…it is for your benefit only, and does not have to be complicated.)

Now, in order to propel your passion, you need to have a mission statement. Write on the first page of your notebook all the reasons you want to start a business, large and small. Now put the 3 most important reasons in positive sentence form, such as…”I will create a profitable business where I can create a better financial future for myself and my family, create pride within myself, and make a difference in this world and my community.” (Feel free to steal that one if it works for you!)

Your reasons are very personal, and no one will see this but you, but it is important to have this statement written down, to give you strength in the days nothing seems to go right! And trust me, there will be a few. But in the long run, keep your eye on your mission, and you can succeed!

Next, you need to find your passion. In a column on the next page, start listing all the things you can think of that you have ever enjoyed. Putting on kid’s birthday parties? Put it down. Reading about fine art? It goes down too. Bake a killer cheesecake? Enjoy reading to the blind? At this point, don’t limit yourself, you will edit later. And don’t limit to things you feel you have a talent or skill for, just enjoyment. (There are many ways to gain knowledge and skill for a business if you truly have a passion for it.) Spend a little time on this, after all, your business future could be on this page!

Now once you have a nice long list, narrow it down to your four favorite choices.

At this point you may have one or two things that you know are your passion. Perhaps everyone knows you are a passionate skydiver, and that made your top four. You live for it, you love it, and you know a lot about it. Start with this subject.

Notice that I keep mentioning some pretty varied passions…this is just to show you, you are not limited on the net to certain kinds of businesses. If there is a market, and people want to know and learn about a subject, there is a way to make money from it!

Now we are going to take your passions and see if there is a market for them, and a fair chance at a profit. Using a keyword tool such as that at Inventory.Overture.com, type in the keywords for your subject. Keywords are the words someone might use in a search engine while searching for info on your subject. For instance, TheBudgetDecorator.com’s most popular keywords are “budget decorating” and “decorating on a budget”. When I punch those into a keyword tool, it tells me there have been thousands of searches for those keywords. That tells me there is a market. However, if your subject is “mating habits of North American Widgets”… chances are, the searches are going to be very small, which means, no market. While it’s important to pick a subject for your business you have passion for, it’s equally, if not more important that you will have people out there who want to be your customer! If your first subject choice turns out to have a small market, no problem, you have four more to consider! Do keyword searches on all four, than see if you can choose one based on the market size, and your preferences. If you can’t, go back to your list and pick four more choices!

Narrow the list down, and you will hit on a passionate subject with potential for profit…your new business!

Getting Quality One Way Links For Free

As you probably know, building your link popularity is the best way to get good search engine placement and free traffic for life for your websites. A lot of people have trouble with this, so I decided to make a small list with the methods I use to get tons of quality one way links to my sites.

1. The first and best way to do this is to write articles related to your site. Now this technique may not be new to many of you out there but I can assure you that a lot of people don’t know how to take advantage of this great opportunity. Your articles should be somewhere between 300 – 500 words with your resource box attached at the end. This should contain a small 3rd person description of yourself, something like: “John Doe is a well respected senior writer and owner of the site http://.....”

After you have your article written all you need to do is go to http://www.google.com and do a search for “article directory”. At the time of this writing there are 374.000.000 results for this search. You should send your articles to as many article directories as possible. The more you send the more traffic you get. The more traffic you make, the more sales you have. The more sales you have, the more money you make. Get the picture? Consider sending your articles to the first 2 pages of results on your first day, then do the next 2 pages the following day, and so on.

2. After you start writing articles, you should start a blog about your business and make regular posts to it. You can start one here: http://www.wordpress.com After each post go to http://www.pingomatic.com or http://www.pingoat.com and ping your blog so that it will be picked up by the search engines. If you make constant posts to it, then the search engine spiders will know to regularly come back to your site.

After you have your blog, you can go to http://www.google.com and do a search for “blog directory”. At the time of this writing there are 224.000.000 results for this search so this should keep you busy for a while. Use the same strategy as for the articles and send your blog to the first 2 pages the first day, then the next 2 pages and so on…You should stop only after you send your blog to at least 100 directories. It may take some time, but the traffic will be worth it.

3. Another good way to get one way links to your sites is to post comments on other people’s blogs. Again, use Google to do a search for “ (your business) blog ”. Then do comments on the high PR blogs, as you can attach a link back to your site under your comment.

4. Give testimonials to programs you have bought or liked and include an active link back to your site. Don’t just write a 2-3 line testimonial because it probably won’t get picked for the home page. Instead, try writing an interesting useful one, not too long, but not too short either and you’ll have a bigger shot.

5. Try making posts on forums regularly. The best way to get noticed out there is to help others, as they will appreciate and trust you and your recommendations. You can have a sig file with your link back to your site after every post you make. The more posts, the more exposure for you and your business.

So these are the top ways of getting free one way links back to your sites. Use this info wisely and your business will flourish.

Get The Most Of Your Traffic... Monetize It!

Establishing your own E-commerce site is not like what it used to be. There are thousands of competition that is all too willing to get a bigger share of the pie. Every scheme and method you can find to augment your sales would be very beneficial.

We have got to admit to ourselves. Most of us are into it for the money. We are not going to waste our time and effort just for the fun of it. Many sites would not wait until hell freezes over just to see their profits. While there are some who takes things lightly there are always those who would rather see profit any given day.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there would be to buy them.

Nobody puts up an E-commerce site that doesn’t expect profit. We have a startup capital that needs to be regained. With a consistent traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to achieve that probability. Monetizing your traffic would optimize your chances of making the best out of it.

Making Money out of your Traffic

The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundred of thousands of traffic everyday. Most of them are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that is looking for something that they need.

The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be a very unsearchable product. The internet has made the world a smaller place; you can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer from the center of Philadelphia.

Generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a Pandora’s Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

So, to get to the core of it the more traffic you generate the more likely you are considered as a desirable, desirable, in a sense that a good traffic flowing site is easily convertible to profit. Basically traffic equals profit. Advertising is the name of the game; with the good advertising scheme you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.

When you have good traffic you have a good number of potential customers, customers that are willing to pour money into your coffers. Other than that these are also traffic that can be redirected to sponsored links that are willing to pay you for a sizeable portion of the traffic that you have generated.

This scheme is called “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that happens would spell to more profits.

Affiliate Programs

Another method of monetizing your traffic are affiliate programs. You can link up with other tried and tested sites and online companies and monetize your traffic by having a percentage of sales generated by traffic coming from your site.

The basic idea is, traffic generated from your site will go to another site that can offer a product that you do not carry. Many programs can keep track and make records of transactions that was made possible because of site linkage.

When purchases are made by customers that was led by your site to their site you get a percentage of that sale. Affiliate programs would give you the benefit of monetizing your traffic without the actual need of carrying or promoting a certain product.

There are so many ways and methods to monetize your traffic. All it takes is a bit of hard work and the desire to successfully launch a profit-earning site. The internet is a veritable source of information, many tips and guides are offered everywhere in how to monetize your traffic and make your site a good profit earner.

Get Rich Scams Exposed!

Read This special article before you spend another nickel on any "Get rich" program or newsletter pay service!!!

Wouldn't it be nice to make a bundle of money quickly, with very little effort, working on your computer at home? YOU KNOW IT WOULD BE!!! I know for me I also would love to have money constantly going into my bank account day after day while working only a few hours each week, This way I could have more quality time to enjoy my wife and kids, without my nasty boss always pushing me and having to deal with that horrible daily commute and those difficult co workers!!

Whether it's real estate investing, using classified ads, investing in the stock market or internet affiliate marketing programs, or other online types of businesses, All of us are constantly bombarded by the fantastic claims of people selling "get rich" programs that they are selling in which they CLAIM people are making tons of money, AND how they can show you how to do do the same thing FOR A PRICE! I can tell you right now , with great certainty that 99% of these folks and programs are total scams! You like me may have even been duped into believing and buying one or even more of these "get rich now " products .I have bought way too many of these products that I have forgotten how many!! (100'S at least!) What it waste of time and hard earned money!

I don't know why, but I guess it has to do with the fact that I believe that most people are basically "good", and as a result I was "sold" by these hyped up marketing schemes again and again, even after being scammed by yet another ! Ouch that hurt! Finally after being consistently let down and scammed again, I just got FED UP and PISSED!! I then decided to finally get to the bottom of this fascination we all have with these "GET RICH" products programs and services, and to find out if there really were any REAL and most importantly CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLE programs for making money on the internet!

I have actually contacted the people behind every "get rich" website I could find in my extensive research. I posed as an investor and managed to persuade the owners that I was someone intent on buying their website business. This way, once the big dollars were being dangled in front of them, they would give me free access to their members areas to review the websites and products I would be buying!, Well as I mentioned before I was completely repulsed and disgusted by 99% of what I found! (no big surprise after the 200th website I investigated!) You know what ? Most of the owners (91%) boosted about how many people bought their bogus programs! Here is what I continually found time and again:

* Links in their products that did NOT work!

* links to their other websites asking for MORE MONEY!

* No help for customers after buying their Program!

* No email support after purchase, no email at ALL!

I realized that these so called "GET RICH" products and websites were completely misleading SCAMS and worthless. And you know what? The owners totally knew it! But they told me they were very happy and gleeful on their way to the bank! (laughing all the way!!!) Surmise to say I failed to reply when I was contacted about purchasing their websites and products! Interestingly while doing all this extensive research on all these bogus websites and rip off programs and Get Rich Scams, I did find a few reputable business men that sold PROFITABLE programs that actually do make money for their customers.

I found that the business owners were just every day people similar to you and me that had found strategies that worked to make money online regularly and consistently. I thoroughly checked out their programs and websites and I was very impressed with the wealth of current and practical strategies and information that they provide. Their products really work! Their programs and websites on making a living on the internet are making people a $100 to $300 per day using their computer at home and doing very little work. I did some further research on their programs on various online forums to see if what I was told was true, and you know what? People were very pleased and highly recommended these products, They told me they were making good money REGULARLY!

It was wonderful to find out that after all my research I actually had some real products that I could in good conscience recommend to people who want the freedom that a real online business can provide. Please don't just believe me check out the links below and see for yourself! you will be glad you did!

SO my search for real PROFITABLE "GET RICH" programs has come to an end, finally!, I must say that I was so disgusted and angry with 99% of what I found that I highly and completely encourage you not to waste your time and your hard earned money joining any program other than the six I have listed below! I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do, and hope the financial freedom you seek for you and your family comes to you SOON!

Wishing you all the best,

Sincerely,
Mark Davies

Get Paid Through Online Surveys

How many times have you closed or blocked pop-ups inviting you to take a survey? And not just any survey, you'll also get payment for taking them. Think about the times you dismiss these advertisements thinking they are just nonsense and worse, Spams. It might surprise you but there is truth in what these ads are telling you all along. You can get paid by answering surveys on the Net. Paid surveys, online surveys, surveys for cash, whatever you call it. They are companies' means to determine the existence of a market for their products.

Large companies spend and invest huge amounts of cash annually for these advertising deals. Surely, they don't want to waste that much money on ineffective advertising programs. Compared to the money they would lose if the campaigns or the product turned out to be ineffective and a flop, paying you to give them a consumer's feedback is not a big deal. But these companies would not want to disrupt their daily operations to conduct these surveys themselves. As a result, they hire another company, a "middleman" to facilitate market research. There are numerous sites that are willing to give you money for joining in their online surveys. These sites or companies do market research for large corporations for a price. They aim to determine if their clients' products will be a hit to the consumers or a flop. They are also tasked to learn what consumers like about the product, or what they like to change about it. These paid surveys, online surveys, surveys for cash, and polling sites also gauge the efficiency and effectivity of their clients' advertising campaigns.

However, do not think that earning a living through paid surveys, online surveys, surveys for cash, and polling sites. There are common misconceptions and exaggerations about answering paid surveys on the `Net. Aside from sending out a minimum of two to five surveys monthly, many advertisers and teasers may state that earning $250 per hour in doing paid online surveys is possible. Although this possibility is not discounted, ordinary paid surveys will give you around two bucks to a twenty. Large payments usually come from sites doing intensive research like focus groups or product trials. Though not a stable source of steady income, these surveys are a great way to earn extra money.

Signing up for these surveys are also very easy. If you don't wish to pay fees then skip databases and company directories that require payments for their use. There are numerous databases and sites that offer these directories for free. Though this directories don't send you surveys, they have lists of companies who are currently doing market research which you may join. Remember, in making significant money doing paid surveys, online surveys, surveys for cash, and polling sites join as many as you can. No non-compete clause to be signed anyway.

Making Money on the Internet: Planning an Online Business

With the Internet growing at a very rapid pace, there is today, more than ever, an abundance of opportunities to make money. The lure of such plentiful opportunity is drawing hundreds of thousands to quit their regular jobs and start their own online businesses. By establishing their own venture, they hope to make money on the worldwide web.

You should consider starting your own venture as well, but perhaps you should be more circumspect about it than other people. Too many people begin an online business and later abandon it, usually because it has become tedious and is not making any money. To avoid this, you will want to engage in some careful planning. Planning may seem like a lot of work in the beginning, but it has the potential to save you years of hard, unproductive work.

Before you begin, clarify in your mind exactly what you want to accomplish. Your goals will determine the path that you will take, so you should think over what is important to you. For instance, if your immediate concern is paying the bills, then quitting your day job should not be an option for you. Online businesses usually take a period of time before they “take off” and make money. So if you are in immediate financial straits, don’t expect your online business to provide the solution. It would be better to work on it on a part-time basis. If, however, your goal is to be financially self-sufficient in a few years, that is something that an online business can help you with.

Your first online business must be immediately related to something that you love. This is to ensure that you are able and willing to work on it in your spare time. If your business is something that tires you or bores you, you are in the wrong business. A majority of businesses fail during the first two years after inception, mostly because its owners are no longer willing to put in the work needed to make it grow. By picking an area in which you have a natural affection and aptitude in, you will increase the chances of making your online business more than just passing fancy.

Take advantage of the numerous ideas available today. Successful businesses are usually those who take an idea and apply them at opportune times. If you perceive a specific need in the market that is not being filled, proceed to attempt and fill that need. Your idea does not necessarily have to be original to be successful; you can also borrow ideas from a variety of fields and apply them wherever you think appropriate .

Operating an internet business online will not be easy. Like any other business, you will need to work hard and long to make it viable. However, by taking the time to think and organize your thoughts from the very beginning, you will find that your subsequent tasks become simpler. Be prepared, and you cannot fail to succeed.

Profiting from internet home based businesses

These days, very few people can ignore the opportunity that the internet offers. Unless you are among the affluent few, internet home based businesses can give you a very large boost in your income. Thus, it is important that you understand how they work and how you can make such businesses work for your benefit.

Internet home based businesses can help you earn a income, and they can help you earn residual income as well. Residual income, of course, is money that you earn for a one-time effort, as opposed to a salary, which you only receive as long as you keep working. Residual income allows you to profit from something that you have already accomplished in the past, such as when an author receives royalties on a book that he has written, even if that book was written twenty-five years ago.

If your concern is earning a salary, you will have no dearth of opportunities online. As long as you have a specialized skill, you should be able to find work. Telecommuting is now an accepted practice for most companies, so take advantage of it. You can sell your personal services on both a salaried basis and a freelance basis, whichever you prefer. Both have their specific advantages and disadvantages, so choose carefully. If you become a salaried employee, for example, you will necessarily have less control of your time, but a more regular income. A freelancer, on the other hand, only gets paid for the work he actually finishes,

If your goal, however, is to earn residual income, then affiliate programs should be an important part of your strategy. Affiliate programs, as you know, are programs that allow you to advertise and sell someone else’s goods and services for a commission. Unlike what most people think, however, succeeding in affiliate marketing actually does require work – lots of it, at least in the beginning. Finding a good partner merchant and selecting a reasonable compensation package takes quite a bit of research, something that most people are unwilling to do. However, it is very important that you lay the right foundation, so spend some time here and look up what if currently available.

As with every business matter, being able to trust you partner is important, so look up on your partner merchant’s record. If you know anyone who has done business with them before, be sure to ask them about the experience. You might even sacrifice higher returns with a relatively unreliable company to work with a more established one.

Once you have established a relationship with a suitable partner, all that’s left is developing your site. There are many resources on this on the internet, be sure to look them up. Site building software is also available, so check that out if you feel that you need more assistance. As long as you put a good effort into the creation of your site, your internet home based business will flourish, and you’ll stand a good chance of earning through it for years to come.

How To Use Private Label Rights Content

If you are looking for a way to take your website to the next level you may want to consider using private label rights content. This craze has picked up over the last year or so, and there is no sign of it slowing down in the near future.

The main reason that this trend has become so popular is quite simple. When you use private label rights content you will have the ability to update your site with new content every month. This means that you will never again have to worry about your site getting stale due to the same old information. In addition, you will never have to write another article. All of your private label rights content is delivered to you direct each month, and then all you have to do is post it to your site.

But even though you can simply get the content from your provider and post it, there are other ways that you can take advantage of private label rights content. Simply put, you do not have to settle for the content the way it is. When you have private label rights you can do to your articles whatever you please.

A few of the more common modifications methods are as follows:

1. Basic edits can be done to any of the content that you receive. This means that if you do not like the sentence structure, you can simply change things around to suit your needs. In addition, you can also take out any information that may not be pertinent to your site. This is also helpful if you are dealing with size constraints on the content that you are posting to your site.

2. If you do not feel that an article goes well with the rest of your content, you can simply keep the main ideas, and reword everything else. Even though this may take a few minutes, it is well worth it.

3. Adding words to private label rights content is also very common. If there is something missing you can simply insert it where necessary and continue on. Also, if an article is not long enough to suit your needs, you can add to it in order to meet your size requirements.

The thing to remember is that with private label rights content you can modify them however you want. The content is yours to play with, and you can make it work for your particular site in whichever way you deem necessary.

In addition to modifying your content in order to make it more suitable to your needs, you may also want to look into using it any other ways. Since the content is yours, you can do things such as create e-books or online courses. This is a great way to start up an additional stream of income without much hassle at all.

How to Install and Configure Drupal CMS

Drupal is a feature rich Content Management System (CMS) which allows webmasters to run dynamic website without PHP knowledge. Publishers can add website content through admin interface. Thanks many modules it is possible to install a lot of additional features like spell check, displaying banners or AdSense ads, chat, mailing list, e-commerce modules etc. Drupal CMS was written in PHP and can be downloaded free of charge. In this article I will explain how to install this script and describe the configuration basics.

Web hosting requirements for Drupal CMS

Before you start the installation process, ensure that your web host offers PHP support, cron jobs and MySQL database. Drupal requires PHP version 4.3.3 or higher (Drupal 4.5 and earlier versions will not run on PHP 5), PHP XML extension and MySQL v3.23.17 or higher. If you are not sure which version of PHP and MySQL your web hosting provider currently uses, contact their help desk and ask them first.

How to install Drupal CMS

First download the latest Drupal release from developers website. Use software such as WinZip or Total Commander to extract downloaded archive to your hard disk. Edit the file called settings.php located in sites/default folder. Set up your website url and basic MySQL database variables like username, password and database server. Use any ftp program to upload extracted files to your web host. In case you have never set up MySQL database, login to the web hosting control panel and create a new one. Now login to your phpMyAdmin and create MySQL tables using the database.mysql file located in "database" folder. Now open your browser and point it to your website. Create a new account -- the first account you will create will automatically become the admin account with full admin rights.

Another and easier solution how to install this PHP script is to sign up for a quality web hosting service which offers pre-installed PHP scripts. Then easily go to your control panel, find the section with pre-installed scripts and select Drupal. The installer will do all the job for you. All you need to do is to choose the script you want to install.

How to configure Drupal CMS

The script was successfully installed and now is the time to do some additional settings. Optionally, you can create in your Drupal installation directory folder where will be stored files such as custom logos and user avatars. Create this subdirectory and set up "read and write" permission. Many Drupal modules have periodic tasks. From this reason you will need to setup cron jobs. Call the cron page by visiting cron.php file in your root directory.

Now browse the admin control panel. Consider to enable some new modules and edit menus. Open "theme manager" to change the theme. Set up welcome message for your users. Modify meta tags for higher search engine placement. Check settings and make sure that everything fits your needs. And if you will need to help with some specific problem visit support forum where you will find thousands of interesting threads. Good luck!
