Today I stumbled upon a cool music player – it worked so well, it was so easy and intuitive – it simply delivered. In fact it was quite remarkable. Take a look at that word – remarkable! Remark-able, yes, I was able to make voluntary, un-coerced positive remarks to my friends. They also liked it and may just tell their friends. What makes one website/product so remarkable? Well simply put when a website solves a problem, meets a need or satisfies a want, it’s likely to be a good site. However a remarkable site does all that so well that it literally over-delivers, surpasses all expectations and makes its visitors feel good just for finding it. In what way is your site, your product remarkable?
Why do you care? Because you want traffic, traffic, traffic. A good site may only convert 2- 5% of its traffic, so the higher your traffic, the more you sell. But other than positive, pervasive word of mouth you will have to work or pay for that traffic. I say work because there are some ways of generating traffic that don’t cost much money – rather they demand time and effort.
One of the best ways to draw people to your site is through original content, articles specifically. There are hundreds of sites dedicated to article postings and within your ‘author bio’ you can post the link back to your site. People go online primarily for content. They are looking for answers, looking for ideas and solutions – sure some people are just bored and browsing, but your potential clients will only exchange their hard earned money for the promise that your product will get them closer to their goal. If you can write articles that show you understand them and that you have a special insight into their interests, they may in return believe in your product enough to give it a try.
You can also write some press releases. A press release is nothing more than a written announcement that discusses something exciting and hopefully newsworthy about your business. Typically it will have contact information so that any member of the press can easily reach you in case they have questions. There are many press release sites that can educate and help you spread your news.
These ideas are just the tip of the marketing strategy iceberg. You ought to find a mentor who can help you do all the above and more. Remember – be remarkable. Let’s give them something to talk about!

The Importance of Relevant Keywords
We have all heard of them “keywords” but what are they really, the best way to put it is, what is the word or phrase people will put into the search engine to locate your site. Once you have decided on what keyword you want to use. The best way to decide on what keyword to optimise your site for is to use a keyword selector tool put in your phrase or keyword and it will bring up a list of keywords and how many times those keywords were searched for within the month. If your keyword was searched a lot meaning in the hundreds of thousands of times then I would suggest you look down the list and find a phrase similar but not searched as much. The reason for this is that there would be too many websites optimised for your keyword.
Your keyword must be in your meta tags of your website. If you open up your website and go to view and click on source you will see a whole lot of writing and if you read it from the top you will see meta name=”keyword” content etc this is where your keywords have been placed for your website. You can change your keywords by logging into your website hosting panel and changing them to be more in keeping with your chosen keyword or phrases. You must then optimise your site so that your keyword can also be found within your website as you would be penalised by the search engines if you have a keyword or phrase which is not anywhere on your website.
Keywords are very important they help the search engines to identify your site for searchers. You must optimise your site for your chosen keyword. I use a top 10 optimiser for my site so that I can get within the top 10 sites for my chosen keywords.
It is important to note that you should optimise your site and have your keywords inserted correctly before you submit to the search engines. The search engines will re check your site but it may take 30 days for them to come back to your site so ensure it is optimised before you submit. It is also important to ensure you have content on your website that has your keywords embedded in it. It could be articles or items for sale, links or pictures.
Another important note is that search engines like Google read your website from top left to right bottom so try and ensure your keyword is used in the upper left hand corner and the bottom right hand side of your page.

SEO – White Hat Success or Black Hat Exclusion
In the process of trying to gain popularity and bring in more business, there are some companies that look at adopting some of the common modes of leveraging through Search engine optimization. This might help them or back fire and lead to their site getting black listed from the index. So, at the end of the day, it really does not matter how good or bad their site is, but what means they adopt to increase traffic.
The two methodologies available for SEO is White hat SEO or Black Hat SEO. The names might sound confusing, but they are modes through which people attract visitors to the page. One of this is ethical while the other is unethical and considered similar to cheating. So, when an individual or organisation is desperate for some visibility, they might adopt this mode, which unfortunately leads them to trouble.
White hat is the direct way of search engine marketing and mode of internet marketing through which the user follows guidelines. They use techniques approved by the Search engines. By tweaking the website, or adding some extra words that might attract attention, the user will rely on links, or Pay per click management to increase their traffic. There are no tricks or shortcuts used here; the content of the page is created to serve the user with information and not just for the SEO benefit. Also called organic search listings, these sites rely on their own strengths rather than manipulating the system.
On the other hand, black hat SEO is a route less preferred because it leads to banning of the website if discovered. Here, the owner of the site might have put in content just so they lure search engines. It could be text hidden in the back drop, or placed off the screen. It is also called spamdex, and is unethical, not approved by the search engines either. Cloaking or invisible text are also used in these sites to lure customers to come over to their portal. Here, the user is trying to con the search engine into believing their website has relevant text when a keyword is entered and so tries to increase the ranking of that portal. Search engine optimization through this method will lead to expulsion and loss of rank of the particular website from the index and it will not be shown in the results displayed on the search engines.

My Road To Internet Success - So Far!
Ok so the whole Internet Marketing thing can be quite scary when you first get into it. I thought I'd share some of my experiences to date.
I have been looking at Internet Marketing for a while. I managed to get some resale rights for a DVD set about Internet Marketing. I planned on selling these DVDs Off-line to a mailing list that I payed for, to people with internet businesses and websites. So I found myself writing my sales letter. With no previous experience of writing copy this proved difficult. What proved more difficult was the fact that i was trying to sell to a market that I wasnt in and had very little knowledge about! I decided that I really needed to find out what Internet Marketing is all about. So I sat down and watched all of the DVDs I'd planned to sell and try to understand as much as possible as quickly as possible. The dvds are from a seminar that was held in Las Vegas. The seminar was the "Internet Marketers Superconference", and the speakers where the biggest names in internet marketing. People such as Armand Morin, Bruce Clay, Carl Gelleti.
With an ever increasing knowledge base about different marketing strategies and ways to make money on the internet, I was itching to start builing my own site and start making money. So off I went and registerd a domain, set up a hosting account and really started to move in the right direction. It was then that I really started to struggle. I had so many ideas flying around my head I didn't know where to begin. What was i going to sell? What Market was i going to sell to? What about the basics?, I'd never built a website in my life, all that html code looks so complicated. So i decided that I'd just get up there and give it a go, if I need to learn something, I'll learn it, somehow.
I downloaded a free 30 day trial of Dreamweaver That proved to be a great tool. It's surprising how easy it is usuing that software. I have now put up 3 websites. I used the same hosing account and created Sub-Domains. I think this is great, I can basically create as many sub-domains as I want, publish them as individual wesites and i only have to pay for one account! Fantastic! By the way, I published the Three websites all before the 30 day Free trial of Dreamweaver expired!
So where am I now?
I'm learning about search engine optimization. I need to get ranked by Google. I need to get as much traffic as possible to my sites so i can start testing different Marketing Strategies.
Please feel free to visit my sites and contact me with any feedback.

Search Engine Marketing – Its all about ROI
For any business to succeed, it is important to understand the Return on Investment the owner is getting. It is basically the profit or turnover being made by them at the end of the day vis a vie the amount invested in the same. This rule applies to every aspect of our life. When we go to college to study, we look for high marks which will assure us a good job. While talking about web portals, they too keep close watch on what their ROI is when investing and creating the website. This is because, every investment needs to yield results for it to be effective, else the approach needs to be altered.
Search engine marketing must take into account the two operational methods – using Search engine optimization (SEO) or pay per click management system. Optimization will work better in the long run, whereas pay per click is mainly to draw specific bracket of traffic onto the site and this works only for a short time. All efforts taken by way of investment and links will go to waste if there is not much of traffic to your portal.
Pay per click works by having the user post as many ads on their page, or posting links on other pages. If a person surfing the net comes across these ads, and clicks on them, the owner will get revenue based on the terms mentioned by the pay per click service provider. The ads placed need to be such that they draw attention to your page and keep the user captivated. It is not that you are spending about $5 on the clicks and the person who comes over to your page and leaves, with no return. Sometimes even by running AdSense on your page, you might find the search engine throws up your page on the results page only if the ad is on the related page and nowhere else.
On the other hand Search engine marketing by using Search engine optimization will yield higher ROI with its effectiveness. While using SEO rich words, make sure to consider the entire content of your site and focus on internet marketing. This will work out better since you know what a person is likely to look for, that will draw them to your site.

Part Time Income
Many people love the idea of having some extra part time income and are able to enjoy time with my family and friends. Some work part time and are involved in a variety of loose-ended jobs: delivering newspapers, selling encyclopedias door to door and even selling a little insurance. Although these experiences teach the basics of sales techniques and perseverance, they rarely offer any significant amount of income. Some even try the infamous MLM opportunities and, as many, are thoroughly disappointed.
Some of these so-called “home based businesses” promise a lot of people of achieving great wealth. They prey on unsuspecting folks with the idea of utilizing their families and friends and then having them recruit their friends, as well, for the purpose of generating sales. Some even require big start up costs for the purchase of their products and then a sacrifice of the first couple of sales to a “sponsor” or “mentor” before any income is reflected. Lastly, money back guarantees are rarely offered.
Scams are everywhere: illegal pyramids, ponzi, chain letters and gifting schemes. The owners of these companies love the idea of taking advantage of the individuals recruited performing all of the sales for them while they are banking the money. What is worse is that these people had to spend practically an arm and a leg to even get access to these programs. They offer absolutely no support and never respond to any email inquiries or telephone calls. A complete waste of time!!! As the old saying goes, if it looks to good to be true than it probably is.
What ever happened to good old fashion instruction on how you can build your part time home based business - establishing sound fundamentals with little or no-start up costs. People want to find a particular income vehicle that they can operate out of the comfort of their own home. The Internet has provided this as a reality for many in the form of Internet Marketing. Remember making money part time does not have to be laborious in nature. If you have a skill to offer or hobbies that you enjoy, these also can be made into income producing revenue. There are a many available resources online that can teach you on how to get it started. Instruction is the key so become a student of the Internet and you too will see your part time income soar.

Simple, Effective Small Business Website Tips
When you are a small business looking to create a space online (and it’s not your area of expertise), in many cases, less is more. Keep your website simple with only needed information that will not appear outdated or have one functional area that can feature updated items. Often people fail to realize the dedication and time it takes to keep a content heavy and interactive website fresh. You need to spend your time capturing and responding to leads, as well as the other hats you may wear.
To start look through the eyes of the customer to identify what information is really needed on your website. Don’t try to be flashy, always focus on filling a need.
Next try to define your business in less than 2 paragraphs. Use bullet points and tag lines to get across the most important messages. People digest content in bite-size portions online.
Always have multiple ways to contact you – contact forms are the easiest way to be contacted and also shield your e-mail address from spiders that might see fit to crawl and add you to their spam list. Depending on your situation include a business address and telephone number.
Come up with one, great promotional opportunity that can be a part of your website always. This makes marketing easy if you just focus on a main promotion that you do not need to update regularly. It can be something like 10% off if they found you via Craigslist or $10 off for all new customers. It’s a great way to be acquisition aggressive, while enjoying a tracking mechanism as well.
Some other helpful hints:
- Don’t Use Frames
- Always Own Your Domain, Graphics and Content.
- Buy a Domain Made up of Great Search Terms
- Name Pages on the Website with Target Search Terms
- Use Flash Only if You Must – Most Businesses Should Not
- Get a Maintenance Contract with a Reputable Web Designer. This Keeps Costs Down and Makes Changes Easy.

How To Succeed With Private Label Rights
The latest craze online is buying private label rights to various products.
The concept is a great one; you purchase the rights to something and then you're free to edit it, put your name on it, and basically do whatever you like with it.
Sounds great right? Wrong!
There are a lot of problems with Private Label Rights products
The main problem is that most people who buy them will never use them. Sure it sounds like a great deal, but if you don't have a plan to use the private label rights product and put it into action, you're just wasting your money.
Once you store it away on your hard drive, it'll be stuck there.
This applies to resale rights as well...only purchase what you plan to use immediately or in the very near future.
Aside from that, my main gripe with private label rights is that they're usually complete junk!
Whatever you do, please follow this advice: If you are not a programmer or have extensive knowledge with scripts or software, do not purchase private label rights to them!
You'll most likely be stuck with a non-working copy of a software product that will require a lot of money to get working.
You could also be under the impression that it works and then your customers will be upset and asking for refunds left and right
Be smart. Only purchase what you plan to use at that moment or in the near future, and don't buy scripts or software unless you're comfortable with programming (or have someone who can handle fixing them and can help you with support).
This can seriously damage your reputation, and as an Internet Marketer, a good reputation is extremely valuable. You must protect it at all costs.
Do your homework. Make sure you are buying private label rights to a quality product that has potential, not some piece of garbage that you will never use.
Stick with what you're comfortable with, and private label rights will allow you to create some great, unique products!

To Succeed Online You Must Be Sexy
Did the title of this article catch your attention?
I hope it did, because this will be one of the most important articles you ever read.
You can read dozens of articles on how to succeed at Internet Marketing.
You can buy dozens of ebooks and buy dozens of courses on how to be a successful Internet Marketer.
That is all very important information, and it will certainly be crucial to your Internet Marketing success.
It's not the most important thing, though.
The most important factor is: Being “Sexy.”
Confused?
Let me explain. People are flocking to the Internet at a very rapid rate. The dream of succeeding online is very real, and very attainable.
Because of this, it is very difficult to tell the true experts/gurus from the frauds.
You can be a guru or a fraud, and people may never know which.
They will, however, know your personality, your writing style, and your character.
You must make your visitors and clients remember you by being unique...by being different...by being “Sexy.”
Being “Sexy” online is different than in the offline world. You can be overweight and unattractive, but as an Internet Marketer you can still be “Sexy.”
Don't try to be traditional, be different.
Don't try to be boring, be controversial.
The Internet Marketing world is full of cookie cutter people and websites. If one person is successful everyone will try to copy that person. That may have worked years ago but cookie cutter people and websites do not work as well as they used to. Uniqueness is a desired quality. You can emulate someone’s success and learn from their tactics, but implement them in your own way.
Enjoy yourself! Don't be afraid to show others your personality, and people will come back to you again and again.
A firm knowledge of your business and having the necessary skills is an absolute necessity, but if you're not "Sexy," it will be that much more difficult for you to succeed.

What's Your Passion?
Okay, you've decided you want to make money with Affiliate Marketing. So, you join some affiliate programs and start submitting free ads to newsletters and free advertising classifieds sites. You're going to make BIG money now -- right?
Nope! Sorry! Just sending out a few ads is not going to do it. Not if you want to be a real success.
You must first determine your passion. I mean other than making the money! What is your hobby? What do you know how to do REALLY well? What is your job? Everyone has something that is their own special talent. Find yours.
You probably have more than one thing that you are very interested in and do well. See if you can find five (ten if you're really ambitious). Write them down in a list. Remember, you are going to be spending a lot of time working with this subject. Make sure you enjoy it!
Go down each item on your list. Start writing a rough outline of everything you know about the topic. It doesn't have to be elaborate. This is just to give you an idea of how much information is available for a given subject.
Try mind mapping. Write down the main subject of your idea. Draw a circle around it. Now, start thinking of sub-categories that are related to your main category. Draw a line from your main category and end it with a circle. Put the sub-category title inside this circle. Find as many sub-categories (and sub-sub-categories) as you can.
Go through each of your interests with this procedure. Choose the one that you know the most about and that you can write about comfortably.
What if you "think" you don't know enough about your topic? Then, do some research. Read books and magazines. Do some searches on the Internet. Who knows? You might find an area, a niche, that is just waiting for you to fill it with useful information.
There's a lot more to affiliate marketing, of course. But the first step is to find your passion. Your "passion" doesn't have to be making money on the Internet. It can be cooking, sewing, billiards, or whatever. In fact, it's better if you find a niche that isn't in the online marketing arena because that's what nearly everyone else is doing.
Make your topic unique. Make it yours. And make it your passion. It will pay you well.

People Getting Rich Online - Finding Your Niche
In honor of the birthday of one of the most famous Internet millionaires, Mook-Jon, I’m going to try to cover something that he says is one of the keys to his success — researching a niche for your website. BTW, Mook-Jon now writes for WebsitePublisher.net. He has written a birthday blog entry ruminating on success, drive and his life. Happy Birthday, Jon.
Meanwhile I’m still out there working hard for you, the reader. I’ve been speaking via email, IM and even phone with people who are making good money online. They are all reluctant to talk, but I’ve managed to coax information out of them. My first observation was the importance of viral marketing to their success, which I’ve covered in other posts.
I’m a fan of the content-rich site. I think providing information to your prospective customers is what will make them customers. Google agrees with me, and is moving its pageranking system to reward so-called authority pages, meaning information rich pages that link to other sites and have other sites linking to them.
Most good websites exploit a niche - that is an area of focus for your content-rich site. Coming up with that niche is probably the most difficult and most important part of your Internet Marketing strategy.
You need two things: A subject and an angle. We’ll work on subject first.
As I have said countless times, most people just need a little push to get started, then everything starts flowing. You should always be in niche-hunting mode. I keep a small, spiral bound notebook next to my laptop and I write down ideas as they come to me. When you are looking for something on the Internet and can’t find it, that something needs to go in the book once it passes this simple test:
Will someone pay a reasonable amount for that product, service, or idea?
If the answer is even probably, it needs to go on the page. I always start with broad, general categories and drill down later.
Why not start with yourself? Take a moment right now and list your interests. What do you search for on the web? Put that on the list. Think about all of the things that fill your day at work or at home. While you are living your life run stuff through the niche filter in your mind — there’s always something that you can add to the list. If you don’t have something to write it down on, call yourself and leave a voice mail. I’ve done it many times. Everyone says I wish there was a [insert something here] on the Internet. Some of us say that a lot. Put it on the list.
Work with someone — I find that my wife is a great person to bounce things off. When we are going somewhere in the car we often brainstorm my latest ideas and she usually has a lot to add. In no time you should have a good-sized list.
Still drawing a blank? Here are some places to pick up some good general categories:
1. Alexa - Look over the Top 100 and the Movers and Shakers. Delve into the categories that appeal to you and see what strikes you. Write it all down, because you’ll end up clicking all over the place and will never re-create the path.
2. Sites that show you what people are searching for. Try Google Zeitgeist or The Lycos Top 50. There’s a fairly long list of such sites over at Search Engine Watch that I’ve bookmarked.
3. Google Answers. I am fascinated by Google Answers, and I sometimes spend a long time looking over what people will pay to find out. There are some great ideas here too.
You could even go to Alexa and look over the top sites trying to come up with an angle that would make them better or easier. Or you might come up with a complementary site (MySpace companion sites come to mind).
Once you get your general category ideas together it’s time to do some supply and demand research, along with what I call sanity checking.
This is the first in a three part series. The other two parts can be found at www.affiliateblog.com.

Online businesses are making average people extraordinary income, and guess how they are doing it?
Dear Friend,
Online Businesses have been a normal part of the internet since the beginning, but only a few select individuals actually knew how and truly understood what needed to be done to make the internet a profitable place. Well of course times have changed and everyone from 60+ grandmas to high school kids is making cash online. This phenomenon is no surprise for those of us who have been tracking this money ticking time bomb called the internet. Online sales have been increasing by the billions from many different niche markets that have become very popular and profitable online.
With all these new revenue streams coming online each and everyday, there must be a way to tap into them, but how. Well if you have spent any amount of time online, you have been offered some sort of money making opportunity, everything from e-bay to e-books. With so many choices how can anyone make a good educated decision about where to start and what to sell, I mean heck the online money making gurus don’t always simplify the best route to take, not to mention there is a new guru every week anyway. Well my friends there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have literally spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars in search for the Holy Grail. Only to find out that everything I needed to know about online money making was right in front of my face. I just needed to look at the products I had been consuming from the marketers prospective, and what was it that made me want to spend my hard earned money on this product or service.
It took me the headache of running into a couple of brick walls but I figured it out. Now what most gurus don’t tell you is that even during their beginning stages they had someone to go to and ask questions or advice. They don’t disclose this stuff in the courses they are selling but its true. You take any one good at anything and behind the scenes you will find a coach or a mentor of some sort. Unfortunately there is not any emphasis placed on having a good go to person when you fall flat on your face the first couple of times. Even if you figured it out like me it’s still good to have someone to say “hey if you open that door you will probably fall in a pit, or I have tried and tested that and have had good results give it a shot. Now don’t get me wrong if I had someone that was qualified to give advice on what I was doing a lot earlier, my learning curve would have been shorter.
The bottom line is this even if you have spent countless hours online and brought every course there is, nothing beats having someone who has been where you are trying to go to help give you advice on your online journey. I mean hey if grandma has a mentor and little jimmy from down the street has a mentor, don’t you think you should have an online mentor? It makes sense don’t reinvent the wheel; try to make it better with advice from the guy who actually invented wheel believe me it will be a much easier and enjoyable experience.

Search Engine Optimisation – To Rank or not to Rank
To have an online presence today is the only way to survive in this highly competitive world. And once a company or individual creates a website, they need to make sure it is Search Engine Optimisation(SEO) friendly. There needs to be certain key words and phrases which are inserted which will help get the listed in the major search engines and bring in more business. Internet marketing is the term used by almost everyone today. This is the method by which you market your company, products and services online. Optimization of the net is essential to beat the competition and get up on top in your industry.
Search engine optimization becomes effective when your website is ranked high. That is, when a user types in a keyword, the list displayed as search results must include your site as well. Only then will there be increase in targeted traffic to your site. You can also have pay per click management system on other related sites which will divert traffic to your portal. Being visible in the search engines is the bottom line for any site to succeed and serve its purpose. Else it will be one among the billions of web pages going unnoticed everyday and useless to the company or person who has created it.
Having unique content on your page will also mean you need to adopt a search engine marketing strategy. It becomes all the more important to gain ranking and visibility on the search engines. It’s one thing to get people to visit your site; it’s a whole different ball game trying to keep them coming back for more. This means, not only should your site be interesting, it should also contain all possible optimisation techniques, to draw the same people over and over. There are some sites that people visit repeatedly and it is only because it comes up on top of the organic search engine listings when a specific keyword is typed in the search bar.
Back links help you increase your sites ranking and page rank. The more links you have, the higher the ranking you will gain. And if anyone tells you links don’t rank your site, they probably are ignorant of how valuable the rank status is in boosting your site’s popularity and aiding business. Through internet marketing and search engine optimization, you can increase ROI, overall revenue and build your business within no time. Keep in mind the content of the site should be the key factor luring people to your web page, therefore it needs to be fresh, and unique.

Free Stuff = Solid Profits
Here is a well-known, but little used fact: People like free things. If you went to a street corner and started handing out staples, people would line up to take them from you. This is true even if you were giving away something they don’t need. If you told them the staples cost $2, they would feel proud of having snagged one for free.
Now what would happen if you gave out something that people actually wanted, that they actually wanted to pay for, even stand in line for. In fact, we assume that if something is given away free then it must be inherently invaluable about it. When we receive something that we know has value, either in dollars or in its interest to us, we not only remember who gave it to us, but we actually feel indebted to them.
Seth Godin is the author of an amazing book called ‘the ideadvirus’. In that book, to simplify, he states that in order to quickly spread a message (virus), one needs to give something of value away, make it significant enough that others spread it on your behalf, and if the message is ‘virus-worthy’ it will quickly spread through a group without much work from you. How can you profit from this? Read the book. To illustrate this, Seth gave the whole book away free on his site, asking only for emails in return and he asked readers to forward the book onto friends and workmates. Knowing the crowd he was looking infect with his virus, he knew that if they liked what they read – they would want to tell people and boast of what they smartly found for free. He actually had about 400 000 downloads in the first few weeks, and just before you think he made no money: when he released the hardcover through amazon.com, it climbed to the top of its sales charts. In fact people who had bought the ebook version, went and purchased the hardcover – they felt like they owed Seth. This was a 400 page book… I read it, twice – it was that good, and proof of the actual theory he was exposing.
Be aware that what is free for your visitors will cost you something – it will cost you in your bandwidth/hosting costs, it will definitely cost you something in terms of time and effort to produce the site and the very thing you give away – but if you play the strategy right, it can pay off well. Get a good idea of what you are trying to accomplish, and determine what you can do or give away to help you grow.
1. get something of value to your audience
2. Get them to give you something in return – their email and their friends email
3. Give them permission and instructions on how to share that free download.
4. Encourage, or reward those who share that download (sometimes if your stuff is good – the pride of sharing something great is enough to motivate people – but it has to be amazing!)
5. With all the awareness, buzz and traffic you generate – find away of profiting from that.
It’s not hard, but its easy to get greedy and mess up the strategy. In fact it takes a lot of courage to do this. You will be giving away something you could be earning from – Seth Godin gave up 500,000 potential sales – instead he had 500,000 advertisers who willingly and honestly spreading the word in a well defined market which resulted in sales of that book – and with his new popularity, many others. By the way, I don’t think its free anymore. It doesn’t need to be… companies actually buy books by the box for all their marketing employees. How did that happen? Because some net savy marketing VP downloaded the book – loved it, and bought a hard copy for his CEO, who thought it was brilliant and ordered it for everyone… and the waves of impact spread. You can do this too!
Learn from the masters. Find a mentor who can help you do your best!

Bookmark technology and ways to use them has come a long way. Most agree that getting someone to bookmark your site will lead to future sales. People rarely ask for a customer bookmark their site though. There are software programs that you can use to make book marking a snap. All you have to do is to provide a link and your customers can bookmark easily. Some Java script software will automatically bookmark your site for your customer. There is a small fee involved for you. A simple “Please bookmark this site” button is often enough to get the customer to bookmark. Certain software will also add a special icon when the customer saves the site. This makes it easy to standout from the other bookmarked sites. Pop-ups help you to get your customer to bookmark too. New ingenuous software will remind your customer to bookmark as they are leaving, and even to bookmark with their permission.

Do You Have the Winning Mindset to Earn Money Online Successfully
Many have asked me what the key to earning money online successfully is. This is not an easy question to answer in terms of what you can do to earn money online. There are a thousand and one ways to earn money online successfully but are they really the keys to success? Unfortunately, the methods to earn money online are less significant than the mindset behind it.
What really differentiates the winning online marketers from the losing is very much not what they do but what drives them in their actions. Anyone can try and experiment with a myriad of ways to earn money online but ultimately without a winning mindset, they will never succeed.
Then what are the qualities of a winning mindset to earn money online successfully? Well, the following are considered the key pillars of a winning mindset.
1. Desire.
The fuel to succeed online is pretty much fired by what you want to gain in the end. What do you want to achieve in the end? Is it financial freedom? Or do you to want to have more time to spend with your family? Maybe you don’t want to be very rich; you just want to earn a little extra income to lift the financial burden of the family. Or maybe you hate your job and you hate your boss and you hope to one day “fire” him and be your own boss. Whatever the reason may be, you must have a strong desire to earn money online successfully, because this is what determines your motivation and is the main source of your strength. So know what you want to achieve in the end and let this be the fuel of your success.
2. Focus
There are truckloads of ways to earn money online. You can be an affiliate marketer and sell other people’s products. You can join an online MLM business opportunity and build your income from there. You can even offer your own services or products to others for a price. But whichever method you choose, it all comes down to focusing your efforts.
From the moment you step into the world of earning money online, you expose yourself to a myriad of business opportunities. They come fast and hard and they never seem to stop. Every day, there can be a new business opportunity to earn money online that seems like the “next big thing”. And you will be tempted to “jump in before it is too late”. But the sad truth is, business opportunities will never run out, but the amount of time we have will. Each of us only has 24 hours a day and we can only do so much. What you need to earn money online successfully is not to jump in on the “next big thing” but to focus on “this big thing”. You do not need so many “big things”, you only need one. So focus your efforts on what you set your sight on and give it your best. You will not regret it.
3. Patience
Many people who first begin to try to earn money online believe that they can do it fast and easy. They think that if they try something that promises them that they will earn money online successfully, they can do it in a few days to a few weeks. And if they do not succeed, the method is wrong and they give up. Sadly, this is not how it works. It is true that there are plenty of scams out there that only want to cheat you of your hard-earned cash. However, most of the time, the reason for failure is simply the lack of patience. Gathering knowledge and applying it is a necessity to earn money online. All these take time and nothing comes without it. Be patient with what you believe in and your efforts will be rewarded.
4. Willingness to take massive action and commit consistently
Finally, armed with a flaming desire to succeed, laser targeted focus on your objective and a rock-solid patience to carry it to the end, you still need the last crucial ingredient to success. You need to take HUGE MASSIVE action and be willing to commit consistently. Your mindset alone cannot win the battle for you. You must be willing to put in your biggest effort to make it a success and commit to doing it consistently, because only with MASSIVE action can you achieve MASSIVE results.
Now, take some time to review what you have done up till now. Do you have a burning desire to succeed? Have you been focusing your efforts and resisting the temptation to join whatever new opportunity that comes along? Have you been patient enough to continue what you are doing and promise yourself never to give up? And finally, are you taking MASSIVE action to turn your dream into a reality? If your answer is a resounding “YES”, then there is no doubt that you will be able to earn money online successfully.

Creating An On-Line Business
Do you dream of making tons of money on-line? I know I do. After all, there are successful people out there doing just that! And I plan to be one of them. Do you?
Let me ask you something. Do you think accomplishing this will be an easy task? If it was, EVERYONE would be doing it. But the bottom line is this: If you were TRAINED to do it the right way, you could be on your way to Financial Freedom.
Financial Freedom can mean different things to different people. My motto is "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE NEXT VACATION". My goal is to be able to travel when and where I want. Step-by-Step training is essential if you want to succeed. It is critical! And once you've learned the secrets, learned which tools to use, learned how to promote your on-line business, learned how to generate many streams of income, learned how to help others do the same, you are well on your way to becoming successful. You are well on YOUR way to FINANCIAL FREEDOM.
It can be confusing, overwhelming and downright frustrating! But if you take it one step at a time, learn from every lesson, practice exactly what is being taught, suddenly you realize you CAN do it, and you WILL see phenomenall results! No doubt about it.

Creating An Effective Online Presence Part One
I have learned so much over the past year about creating an online presence. There is so very much to know and most people who start their own businesses really don’t know how to create, maximize and leverage their online presence.
I will give you just a summary of what I’ve learned over the past year from reading, masterminding and coaching. I know I have only scratched the surface but if I can in any way cut down on your learning curve by sharing the things I’ve already learned, then that’s what I want to do.
Niche Marketing
This is the first thing you learn when creating an online presence. It’s about narrowing your focus. It is not possible to be all things to all people and when you try, you end up watering down your message and in essence, being nothing to no one. This probably was the hardest lesson I learned. I fought the whole niche marketing idea because I believed that my niche was choice theory and I know choice theory applied to every possible life situation. While I still believe that this is true, I need to focus my marketing efforts on a much more specific and targeted niche. While I am still refining this, I have decided to market to two basic niches. The first is small to midsize companies who are interested in creating, inspiring and leveraging diversity in the workforce and the second is managers interested in learning Empowered Leadership to increase production, improve quality and reduce employee turnover.
What is your niche? You know you have a good one if you can identify how to find them. You need to know what they read, what entertainment they gravitate toward, and what groups they belong to. It is your goal to ultimately obtain a mailing list or email list to be able to market to your niche. If you can obtain a list, then you have a well-narrowed niche.
Creating a List
This is perhaps the most important asset to an online business—the email list of potential customers and prospects. When doing business online, it is critically important to capture prospects' email opt-in addresses so you can begin to market to them. The best way to get people to give you their email address is to offer them something compelling. This is intricately tied to your niche. Find out something they are looking for—create a giveaway product in exchange for getting their email address. You can see how critical it is to have correctly identified your niche market because if you offer a list of cat owner’s information on how to train their dogs, you can see how that might not entice them to provide you with their email address. It must be information they are hungry for.
The opt-in part is also important. You can’t just go add people’s email addresses to your mailing list. That is considered spamming. They must have the opportunity to opt-in, as well as the opportunity to remove their address from your database. Don’t ruin your business before it gets started by tainting your reputation unnecessarily.
Sales Letters
Sales letters are very important. If there is one thing I’d like to outsource, it would be sales letters. They are not fun for me to do but they may be fun for you. There are several things to be considered in a sales letter. First of all, research shows that the longer a sales letter is the better. It must have a captivating title. It must be filled with information about WIIFM—What’s In It For Me, meaning your readers or potential customers. This is again tied to the first point about niche marketing. Your sales letter will be most effective when you can write as if you know the mind of the reader. You must understand their pain or speak to a goal they have. How can you be specific enough if you haven’t narrowed your niche? You can’t.
The letter should be crafted with both the skimming reader and the detail reader in mind. This means making main points subheadings so the person who skims can get the general idea of what you are talking about just by skimming the headings. However, include sufficient detail to convince the person who is interested in lots of facts and statistics. You don’t want to write your letter with only one group in mind because then you will lose out on the possibility of selling to the group you omitted.
Create products and services your niche is hungry for and then tell them why they must have your product to either solve their problem or help them become more successful.
Sales letters must have an urgent call to action. Create some type of advantage for those who act NOW. Research shows that even if a person is interested in what you are offering, if they don’t act as they are reading your letter and decide to wait for another day, they never come back to it. Get them to act now by making it worth their while. You can even offer an extra incentive for the first 20 people who respond. It’s up to you.
Articles
Writing articles is a tremendous way to get your name out there to the general public. I write at least two articles each month. I used to have my virtual assistant submit each one to online article banks individually. Now, for $100, I submit my article to I-Snare and they do the submitting for me. They will submit 100 articles for my $100 which is much more cost-effective than having to pay my assistant to do it.
The purpose of writing is to help readers get to know you and what you have to offer. When you write, you are not necessarily trying to sell something—you are basically providing useful information, just like this article does. And you get to include a bio box at the end with a link back to your website home page, a product page or a sales letter. This will help increase the traffic to your website and it will be a targeted audience, meaning those who are already interested in what you have to say.
These are just some of the things you want to give attention to as you develop your presence on the World Wide Web. My next article will focus on writing press releases, generating search engine traffic and getting listed in various online directories. Then, we will discuss writing a blog, producing an online newsletter, creating a sales funnel and embarking on joint ventures.
