Getting Started Making Money On The Internet: Finding Your Passion
One of the hardest decisions to make concerning starting a home business is what kind of business to start! Research proves that in order to have the determination and drive to grow a business, you need to have an emotional investment in it. 9 times out of 10 that requires having a passion for what you do. However, a lot of women wanting to work at home mistakenly believe they don’t have a marketable talent or skill. Here is how any woman can find a niche for her business that will tap into her personal passions!
First off, you will need an idea notebook. This is a great tool for the learning process, and you will use it in all three steps of Women-on-the-Net.com’s step by step approach! It can be as simple as a 79 cent spiral notebook. A highlighter is also helpful to help you pick out the ideas you want to implement. You may even wish to have 3 highlighter colors, that way, after every day’s notetaking session, you can highlight with one color, the “No way that’s not for Me’s”, another color for the “Maybe, I’ll look into it more’s” and the last color for “YES, PERFECT’s!” This will make it easier to put together a business plan later. (Don’t let the idea of a business plan scare you…it is for your benefit only, and does not have to be complicated.)
Now, in order to propel your passion, you need to have a mission statement. Write on the first page of your notebook all the reasons you want to start a business, large and small. Now put the 3 most important reasons in positive sentence form, such as…”I will create a profitable business where I can create a better financial future for myself and my family, create pride within myself, and make a difference in this world and my community.” (Feel free to steal that one if it works for you!)
Your reasons are very personal, and no one will see this but you, but it is important to have this statement written down, to give you strength in the days nothing seems to go right! And trust me, there will be a few. But in the long run, keep your eye on your mission, and you can succeed!
Next, you need to find your passion. In a column on the next page, start listing all the things you can think of that you have ever enjoyed. Putting on kid’s birthday parties? Put it down. Reading about fine art? It goes down too. Bake a killer cheesecake? Enjoy reading to the blind? At this point, don’t limit yourself, you will edit later. And don’t limit to things you feel you have a talent or skill for, just enjoyment. (There are many ways to gain knowledge and skill for a business if you truly have a passion for it.) Spend a little time on this, after all, your business future could be on this page!
Now once you have a nice long list, narrow it down to your four favorite choices.
At this point you may have one or two things that you know are your passion. Perhaps everyone knows you are a passionate skydiver, and that made your top four. You live for it, you love it, and you know a lot about it. Start with this subject.
Notice that I keep mentioning some pretty varied passions…this is just to show you, you are not limited on the net to certain kinds of businesses. If there is a market, and people want to know and learn about a subject, there is a way to make money from it!
Now we are going to take your passions and see if there is a market for them, and a fair chance at a profit. Using a keyword tool such as that at Inventory.Overture.com, type in the keywords for your subject. Keywords are the words someone might use in a search engine while searching for info on your subject. For instance, TheBudgetDecorator.com’s most popular keywords are “budget decorating” and “decorating on a budget”. When I punch those into a keyword tool, it tells me there have been thousands of searches for those keywords. That tells me there is a market. However, if your subject is “mating habits of North American Widgets”… chances are, the searches are going to be very small, which means, no market. While it’s important to pick a subject for your business you have passion for, it’s equally, if not more important that you will have people out there who want to be your customer! If your first subject choice turns out to have a small market, no problem, you have four more to consider! Do keyword searches on all four, than see if you can choose one based on the market size, and your preferences. If you can’t, go back to your list and pick four more choices!
Narrow the list down, and you will hit on a passionate subject with potential for profit…your new business!

Seven Ways to Generate Income From Your Website
If you own your own website, there are a variety of things you can do to generate extra income for yourself. To enjoy the most success for your efforts, you must take into consideration your existing website content, as well as your particular target audience. You will also want to know the approximate number of visitors you regularly receive to your website.
Once you have this information, you can implement any of the following:
1. Include Google Adsense on your web pages. Google delivers text and image ads that are targeted to your site and its content. When people click on an ad, you will receive a portion of the amount paid to Google by the advertiser. On average, you can expect to receive anywhere between 2 cents to a dollar per click, depending on the keyword.
2. Make money selling other people's products and services through affiliate programs. Each program you register for should provide you with an affiliate link to track your referrals. Depending on the program, you will normally be paid on a per sale basis or for each sign-up you generate.
3. Sell advertising space on your web site. You could sell banner and/or classified ads. If you want to make additional money, sell sponsor ads and place them is a special section or towards the top of your website for the most exposure.
4. If you have enough web space available on your server, you could rent web pages to other people. You could also give the web pages away for free, but include your banner or advertisement on them to generate income for yourself.
5. Charge people a fee to access a dedicated part of your website. People will pay you money for your website content if it's valuable to them. The content can be ebooks, reports, software, etc.
6. Sell your own products or services. Of course, they should be related to your target audience. You will also want the ability to securely accept credit card payments directly from your website. Other forms of payment such as PayPal, ClickBank, etc. is also preferred. Delivery of your product should be as fast as possible.
7. Publish an e-zine from your website. Have people subscribe to the e-zine right from your web site. In addition to direct sales of products or services you are promoting, you could sell classified or sponsor advertising inside your e-zine.
Each of these ideas will generate income, but if you are a new website owner, I recommend starting with Google Adsense. These ads continue to grow in popularity and are easy to customize and install on your web pages–simply copy and paste a block of HTML.
For new internet home business entrepreneurs, in addition to Google Ads, you should also consider affiliate programs. Most affiliate programs are free to join and usually offer marketing tools and resources that are readily available for your use.

Name Squeeze Your Way To Big Profits
If you want to grow your prospect list to huge numbers quickly and easily, you need to be using the name squeeze technique.
There is traffic and then there is targeted traffic. Anybody can get lots of hits to their site. The trick is to separate the browsers from those that are actually interested in your product, service, or opportunity. An easy way to do this is to build a teaser page. This is a page with basic info about your product, service, or opportunity. It gives just enough info to make visitors want to know more.
How do they find out more? Good question!
You place a form on your teaser page that asks visitors to provide their name, email, phone number(s), or whatever info you want to know about them. When the visitor fills out a form they are directed to your main site, but now you have all of their info. This info can be immediately added to auto responders to continue to drip information on the visitor via email. You can ask for phone numbers and follow up with each visitor who requests info. Calling visitors back, in my opinion, is very key. It doesn’t have to be a sales call, but if you call to introduce yourself and let the visitor know that there is an actual person behind the site, it will go a long way to getting them buying into your products, services, or opportunity. You can collect their mailing address and send them printed material as well. Bottom line, is that you now not only have visitors, but you have leads. Targeted leads with email, phone, address, etc. that you can contact any way you like.
A better name for a teaser page, is a capture page. This is because it allows you to capture all of your targeted traffic info so you can follow up with them however you like.
The more quickly you follow up with your new lead the better. If you can catch them while they are still browsing your site, they will not only be amazed, but you increase your chances at turning this high qualified lead into an actual sale.
This name squeeze technique is an easy, inexpensive way to start collecting live, targeted leads that you can add to your contact list. Sales, whether it be a product, service, or opportunity is all about numbers. The more numbers you have in your contact list, the more money you will make in the long run. If those in your list are also highly targeted as the name squeeze technique helps them to be…..your income will skyrocket!

The only way to make money on the internet
There really is only one way to make money on the internet -- sales.
Really it is the truth. Of course there are a lot of different variations in how and what you sell on the internet and another dramatic difference is the lack of the dreaded cold-calling forced on so many traditional sales folks.
At first glance your choices are pretty straightforward:
~ Sell other people's products
~ Sell your own products
~ Sell yourself
~ Sell space on your web site, blog, or publication
Then things start to get complicated.
Even something as simple as selling products created by others takes on some unique twists on the internet and can quickly lead to complicated decisions. This choice falls into four main areas:
~ Selling as an affiliate to earn commission on each sale (you deliver customer to vendor)
~ Selling unlimited electronic products as a reseller to earn 100% profit on each sale (you are directly involved in sale)
~ Selling a limited number of products you bought at wholesale to earn the difference between your cost and the sale price (you are directly involved in sale)
~ Selling as a drop shipper to earn a percentage of each sale (you are the middle man in transaction)
Each method offers its own blend of benefits and drawbacks and you need to decide which suits your experience, time, and interest.
Selling your own products can be complicated as well by the need to organize issues such as payment processors and affiliate programs and advertising as well as customer service.
Selling yourself offers advantages in that you don't need to deal with many of the problems involved in products -- such as payment processors, large numbers of customers and all the complications that entails -- but it can also be limiting (you only have so many hours in the day to accomplish the tasks or jobs that you take on) and requires the need for regular promotion to build and maintain your client base.
Finally selling advertising such as banners or text links or offering contextual or pay-per-click or pixel advertising can be a much simpler method of earning money but in order to earn a decent income from this source you must continually work to build and promote your web site, blog, and/or publication. Web sites and blogs that don't consistently offer new, quality content quickly slip in search engine status and the loss of traffic then income follows even faster than you can say search engine optimization.
That is just a quick overview of the income opportunities available to you on the internet. Good luck with your new internet business whichever choice you make.

Running A Profitable Web Site
New web sites are popping up on the internet at an astonishing rate. Many of these sites are being created by ordinary people looking to earn extra money on the internet. With the simplicity of web authoring tools that are readily available, it’s become much easier for internet newcomers to develop and maintain professional looking web sites.
Even with the web authoring tools and so many other resources at your disposal, it will still require a lot of work and patience before you see any real profit from your web site. The actual creation of your site is only one step in a series of steps that must be taken in running a profitable web site.
To help make your web site as successful as possible, I’ve identified seven helpful tips for you to follow:
1. Create as much original content as possible. People enjoy reading original content, which will keep your visitors on your site longer. People also tend to return to sites more often that frequently update their content.
2. Make sure all links on your site are active. Make it a habit to check your links on regular basis to ensure they work and that visitors are being directed to the page or site you intend. If people can't get to where they want to go, they will leave.
3. Make sure the content and graphics on your web site are relevant to its theme. People can be easily confused if they land on a site expecting a particular topic, but the content or graphics don’t match that topic. Most people will just move on to the next site.
4. Include a contact page or email address for visitors to contact you. By providing contact information, your business will be given more credibility. Plus, a potential customer may have a question about a product or service you’re promoting.
5. Speaking of questions, adding a FAQ’s to your web site would be a great benefit to your visitors. By listing answers to common questions, your visitor will be able to have a specific issue addressed without any interaction from you. This saves you time to focus on other matters.
6. Offer your visitors a gift for visiting your web site, and provide other incentives for them to return. These could include ebooks, software or even a subscription to your newsletter. Most people are drawn to free gifts which will compel them to return to your site.
7. Layout your web site in a logical order. For example, if you’re promoting a product, don’t give away a free gift until your visitor learns about the product. You want to keep your visitors focused on your product or site for as long as possible.
By applying the techniques above, you should be able to keep visitors on your web site longer and increase your overall traffic. If you’re promoting a product or service, more visitors equate to more potential sales; resulting in more profit from your web site.

Unique Spin-Offs For Making Money Online
It seems as though everyone is selling stuff on ebay or writing the next great ebook, and those just don’t seem like things you would be interested in. However, perhaps you also realize that the Internet is a great way to make extra money, employing multiple streams of income that you can apply to the rapidly growing pile of bills over there. Here are some unique spin offs on typical Internet businesses that you should feel free to tweak to your liking:
One Stop Tourist Shop: Do you live somewhere that people like to visit? If so, you might be in luck. Think about opening up a one stop shop where potential tourists can not only buy travel information and brochures, but where they can also shop for souveniers that they can get shipped to them, so that they don’t have to lug them home in their suitcases (and break that pesky 50 pound limit). You might also think about putting up an “ask a local” area where, for a small fee, visitors can ask you for advice about getting around, great places to eat, little known attractions, etc. It would also be a great place to promote an ebook – by you!
Love Letter Writer: So you’ve heard of greeting card writers – why not advertise your services as a love letter writer? You could either set up your own site and market it on the search engines, or post advertisements on popular sites such as craigslist.com. Interested parties can contact you directly for help in writing the perfect love letter. You would be surprised at how many people find it difficult to find the right thing to say when it comes time to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!).
Local Online Babysitting Club: Moms unite! If you are a stay at home mom and know others like you, think about putting together a club that offers your parenting services to other parents who need a few hours away. Parents can either trade time, or charge per hour to take care of other children. By setting up this business on the Internet, you can avoid the awkward chit chat and get down to the business of raising kids.

Work at Home scams
Work at home has become such a rage with the advent of internet that it has evolved into an industry on its own. As with almost all other industries, this too has been infested with scamsters trying to con you. In fact, this devil is more at work in this industry due to the basic demerits of the functionality. These demerits are actually the merits - no physical presence. The reason the online or work at home industry elevated to this level is because you don't need to arrive at a particular place called office, and still work can be executed with equal productivity and efficiency. This has been exploited by the conmen to their advantage. Here is a list of things you should keep in mind while trying to enter into the world of work at home.
Don't pay for the membership or subscription fees at the first glance. You will come across thousands of websites claiming instant work and profits. Remember, it is not so easy when practiced. Secondly, there will be lot of competition for the work on offer. Study and research these sites thoroughly before you invest a single cent on these. Get as much information about the employer before you make any commitment towards spending some money. Genuine employers will never ask for any money for the employment opportunities.
Enter into the forums on work at home. You will come across people from all over the world discussing the idea and problems associated with work at home. Some of them will also be seen complaining about the opportunity they were trapped in. Make a list of such websites about whom there are frequent complaints. It is always better to avoid such scamsters.
Envelope stuffing scheme has been the king of all scams in the history of work at home industry. The scamsters claim that you will be paid for stuffing the envelopes. Apply wisdom here - why a company will pay you one dollar for stuffing one envelope. Similar schemes have evolved with the main principle in place. You will be asked to pay for the membership to start data entry work. Once paid, you will be asked to place the ad of the same site at various places. If you receive X amount of positive responses, then you will be paid Y amount. In reality, such scamsters don't have any work available for you. They work on the pyramid or gold ring scheme to con more people making you as their front agent.

If you receive X amount of positive responses, then you will be paid Y amount. In reality, such scamsters don't have any work available for you. They work on the pyramid or gold ring scheme to con more people making you as their front agent.

Five Excellent Reasons To Take Paid Surveys Today
Most people know what consumer survey is but do they know they can get paid for answering opinion surveys? If by chance they participate in a paid survey and receive a paycheck in their mailbox, they are thrilled by their discovery. They understand that paid surveys are a great way to earn extra money at their spare time and they just regret they didn't start earlier...
Today, at the Internet age, it is easier than ever to make extra cash with paid surveys and mystery shopping jobs. To help you have a clear picture of this opportunity, we have summarized here the main reasons why you should start taking paid surveys today.
1. Money
Paid surveys are not new. Opinion research has been used for decades by marketers as a way to explore customer needs and every year companies and institutions spend billions of dollars on consumer research. The reason is simple: The better they understand us as consumers, the more money they can make.
Because they need to know what consumers like and want, companies are willing to pay for our opinions.
There are companies that will pay you up to:
* $75 to take online surveys
* $250 to participate in focus groups
* $120 per hour to take phone surveys
* $50 per assignment to participate in shopping surveys
To dismiss any misunderstanding, we don't claim here that you will make $250 an hour all day and every day... But from experience we know that you can easily earn extra money every month, working at your spare time, with hundreds of online paid surveys and mystery shopping jobs that are sent directly to your email. From time to time you will also receive an invitation for a 1-2 hours focus group (a personal interview conducted among a small number of individuals) that can pay as high as $250 per session!
To give you a rough estimate of the money you can earn with online surveys, focus groups and mystery shopping jobs, we can say that anyone who is actively registered with at least 300 top market research companies should have no trouble earning an extra $250-$500 per month working at it part-time. Top performers that stick with it for long and work full time can make up to $3000 per month!
2. You Make Your Opinion Counts
* By answering the questions of legitimate survey researchers, you make your opinions known to the people who have the power to make the changes you want.
* Your answers to survey questions influence many decisions that affect you as a consumer and a citizen.
* Health care providers, government agencies, airlines, hotels, telecom companies and car dealerships are responding to your comments by improving their customer service.
For all these reasons, your opinion is in high demand and you can make a difference when you participate in paid surveys.
3. It is Fun
Participating in online paid surveys isn't a boring job requesting every day to complete a routine task. On the contrary, you will be involved in very diversified assignments dealing with new products you will test before they go on the market, new technologies that are still in R&D labs, original perspectives on existing products, new marketing concepts etc. You will be exposed to many topics you wouldn't have any idea about them otherwise and you will better understand what's going around you as a citizen and as a consumer. After taking many paid surveys, you will look at prices, brands, product design, customer service etc in a different way and you will enjoy your special view on all these matters.
With focus groups, you will be invited to spend 1-2 hours with a small group of 6 to 12 people to discuss a product, a service, a brand or any other marketing concept. Participants can be paid up to $250 and the meeting is typically held in pleasant surroundings and refreshments are served. During this group session there is interplay of thoughts and ideas to get insights on attitudes and perceptions held by consumers. These discussions are very animated and very interesting. That's real fun and great money!
Mystery shopping assignments are a special type of marketing research. You are paid to shop at the mall or to eat at restaurants! All you need to do is filling out a questionnaire on your customer experience. We all shop, and many of us enjoy shopping. But very rarely do we get paid for it! Mystery shopper jobs give us this opportunity: Earning extra income just for shopping and filling out a questionnaire!
It's a fun job that pays real cash. You can earn money to shop in your favorite stores, to eat in your favorite restaurants, to drive a car, to see a movie at your local theater or to play golf!
Beside money, online paid surveys, focus groups and mystery shopping jobs will bring a lot of fun in your life.
4. Cool Lifestyle
* You can do it Full-Time or Part-Time. It's Your Choice!
Paid surveys invitations and mystery shopping assignments are sent to you by email and you can take as many or as few as you want. You can do it full-time or part-time.
You decide how much time you want to devote to paid surveys and shopping jobs and you can work whenever you'd like: morning, noon, night... midnight if you'd like.
* You are Your Own Boss
This kind of work is entirely voluntary and you have no boss looking at your performances all the day. It is all up to you if you want to participate in a survey or not. Nobody will try to force you to take a job if you don't want and if you need a day off, just take it! You are your own boss! You will manage your work as you wish and you will benefit of 100% of your efforts.
* If you are a mom at home, you can schedule your work around your family's needs, spending more quality time with your loved ones.
* If you are a student, you can answer surveys between lectures or before you do your homework. This is a great way to relax and have a little fun when you are tired of your college assignments.
* If you are a senior citizen, paid surveys and mystery shopping jobs will fill your free time with interesting activities and they will supplement your retired pay.
* If you decided to work from home, paid surveys and mystery shopping are just for you. You can work from the comfort of your home and you keep the flexibility to share your time as you want.
* If you are a full time employee and need an additional income, you can fill out online surveys and shopping questionnaires during pauses at work, on the evening or on your weekend. All your family can take paid surveys too so all the surveys taken add up in a cumulated income.
5. It is easy to get started
* No experience or special skills are required.
No special background is needed to participate in consumer research. If you are a consumer, your opinion counts and you qualify to take paid surveys and mystery shopping jobs. Every consumer is welcome.
* No special equipment is required
Taking surveys for money requires no special equipment other than access to a computer and email. If you know how to access the Internet and your email, you're set.
* Professional databases have made all the hard work for you

Ethos FR-Ingredient for success!
In all my years networking I've been told that in order to spot the right opportunity you have to take 2 things into consideration:
1.Timing
2.Product
Timing
Every where you turn you can see the frustration in the American Publics eye when it comes to the subject of ever rising fuel cost.
While oil companies boast multi-billion dollar profits, the people are left looking for relief.
Product
Ethos FR in my opinion is the best ingredient for success that I've ever seen.
Not only can you use this product in your fuel tank to increase your vehicles gas mileage, and clean out your entire fuel system, it can also be used in your crank case and cleans put your entire engine resulting in a smoother running, longer lasting vehicle and lower fuel and maintenance costs.
Ethos fr has been featured in several news stories from top dogs like Fox, NBC, ABC...
and is also backed by china to the tune of around $7million a month. Our own Government even uses this Ethos FR in military and secret service vehicles.
Credibility like this is envied in the network marketing industry. Already over 56,000 people have enrolled in the pre-launch of 4-E Corp.
With that said, I recommend everyone try Ethos FR. The worst thing that can happen is you could save money on gas.

Choosing One Internet Opportunity - The 4 Essential Criteria
Everyone dreams of the perfect business, one where you just sit back and collect cheques for doing nothing. Some unscrupulous Internet businesses would have you believe that this is possible. It is not possible, and it never was.
The Internet marketplace is becoming more crowded every day. There are soon going to be more Internet marketing companies than there are punters. Most Internet marketing consists of selling Internet marketing opportunities. The punter has seen it all before. The only people who fall for this ploy are total novices who still believe in fairies and treasure at the end of the rainbow.
What should you look for in a genuine Internet marketing or home business opportunity?
1. A tangible product that is totally unrelated to selling Internet marketing opportunities.
2. An affiliate scheme that gives you your own website.
3. A recognition by the provider that you must spend some cash promoting your affiliate link.
4. No up-front fee
Let’s consider these points one at a time:
1. Tangible products can be as diverse as selling Self-Improvement courses and Personal Wedding Sites, but there must be one, otherwise you are just putting all your hopes into a Multi-Level Marketing scheme that is doomed to fail.
2. Affiliate schemes pay you a percentage of the price paid by the customer. Affiliate schmemes can make money, but 97 out of every 100 affiliates never make a cent because they fail to recognise the need to promote their affiliate link. You only earn money from people who buy by following your affiliate link.
3. Many affiliate schemes grow by providing a free website and going along with theoptimistic idea that all websites are found by search engines and that every one will make money. Search engines only find sites that have links pointing to them. If a search engine finds 2,000 identical sites, it only displays one, and that does not give you a lot of chance to sell anything.
4. All information is available for free on the Internet. An extremely small number of people have anything worthwhile to say that is not freely available. Those that do charge thousands of dollars for it, not $39.97. You are paying for promotion of the product, why should you pay for the opportunity to spend your money on advertising.
One more tip:
· Beware Information Overload. Research, choose one scheme and stick with it until it is earning money and no longer requires time spending on it. Only then should you join a new affiliate scheme. All schemes will make money if they are properly promoted. Avoid changing horses in the middle of the race. Avoid the temptation offered by this week’s offering from some guru, who claims that his product offering will change the face of the Internet over the next three months, but that you must join immediately, or miss the benefits.

Can anyone legitimately earn money from the world wide web?
Can you earn money from the web to help you survive, even prosper, doing so legitimately and without ripping people off or by indulging in illegal activities? The answer is yes, of course, otherwise there wouldn't be much point in writing this article, would there? :-)
You can earn money legitimately by providing information of high value to internet searchers seeking information on that specific topic.
Know that I am not a computer programmer. I do not have extensive knowledge of html, though since I've been "playing" on the web I couldn't help but learn some. I am not a graphic artist but I like to experiment with paint programs on my computer. I like digital photography, and it is gratifying to use my own pictures on my own site should I wish to. My software library does not contain much in the way of programs for web page development. I couldn't build a website from scratch of my life depended on it. My "expertise" is solely related to the areas in which I have earned my living in the years before becoming a web site publisher.
I believe that the internet will continue to grow and that every person in the world that logs on for the first time increases the potential for anyone else that wishes to generate an income from the web to be able to do so.
I believe that the major players of the web (Google, MSN, Yahoo etc.) will continue to develop their web programs to continuously weed out those that try to take advantage of folks via the internet.
So how? How does one make legitimate money? The usual way; hard work, honesty, hard work, simplicity, hard work, and a methodical approach. Oh, and did I mention hard work? :-)
All kidding aside, the 'work' involved with making money from the web entails writing down information about a subject with which you are already quite familiar. You will be telling folks about a passion you have. So, it's not hard, but it does take time. There is no get rich scheme that works - that, death and taxes are the only certainties in life that I know of.
One way to be in business on the web is by offering a virtual "store". Many companies world wide now offer their products on-line, and this is a legitimate method of generating revenue. Providing you have something that others want, and that you are positively positioned (price / service / product mix etc.) you will make money as folks will order from you. I have no interest in creating a virtual store, as I'm not interested in having inventory, a warehouse, shipping and receiving facilities etc.
There is always web site consulting as another web site revenue source. From my web wanderings it would seem that there's almost one consultant for every web site on the internet! Far too much competition for me, though the good consultants can profit, the bad ones will not. Like those that sell hard goods, a consultancy needs to be well positioned to survive. I do not have the skills to be an effective consultant to people seeking web expertise, so I don't even try.
You may consider a web site with the sole purpose of selling advertising on it as so many of the "fringe" web sites out there do now. How many times have you gone to a site to get information on a subject only to find ads, and links to more ads? Very frustrating, isn't it? Those that undertake this type of venture will find that the major search engines are doing everything in their power to ensure that "fringe" sites like theirs aren't listed with them. If the site isn't listed, no one will find it, and if no one can find the site, revenue will disappear. I choose not to be involved with this sort of chicanery.
So what is it that I do to legitimately earn money via the internet?
Using software I found on the internet I "fill in the blanks" with knowledge. I use my knowledge of a particular subject and the system turns that knowledge into a web site. The software allows me to create the site in plain English using simple word processor software. It helps me determine if there is a market for the information I want to provide about my subject, and then it converts what I write into a pretty neat internet web site, if I do say so myself!
Arriving at my site will accomplish two things for the visitor. As they wander through it they will see what an ill-skilled web site builder has accomplished using some readily available and inexpensive software. They won't know that I'm ill-skilled however, because the site looks really good. Further, as they read the content in my site they will see ads that appear from time to time on those pages. Not many, not intrusive, but ads none the less.
The ads are positioned for me courtesy of Google. Google provided me software that can "read" my site, and position "content" ads on the pages, ads that relate to the general content of that particular page and to my site in general.
Google pays me when folks legitimately click on the ads on my pages. And Google does pay me. Regularly.
The more people that visit, the more potential for visitors to click on the ads on my site, and the greater potential for earnings for me, and more importantly, earnings for the advertiser's that trust their ad budget to Google.
Folks visit my site because I write high content value pages about my subject. They find my site by using search words relating to that subject because they are interested in getting information about those words. I write pages about the search words people use, because my software tells me which words that they are using to find information on my subject. No tricks, it's a simple as that. If you write pages about things that people are looking for, they will find your pages.
When folks get to my site, I try to ensure that they will find enormous, useful content about the subject they are interested in. The content they find will entices them to stick around and visit other pages on my site. As they do this, the ads that appear will encourage them to visit those on-line advertisers, as the ads refer to the goods and services that they were already looking for, or they wouldn't have even found my site in the first place.
See how it all ties together?
Ask yourself, what is your area of expertise? What are you passionate about? What is your work history? What hobby do you have that you already know scads of people are interested in? What can you write pages of information on that really and truly provides valuable information to the people that read it?
Oh, don't worry about writing your pages in a meaningful way. The software shows you how to do that, too.
If you write words that offer valuable content about any topic, and that topic is one that people are interested in (with a world population in the billions, try to find a topic that some folks aren't interested in!) and you use a simple program to turn your written words into a pretty neat web site (helping you avoid taking the time and expense to become a web site developer yourself) then you can make money on the web.
As I've said, putting the words to paper takes time. Placing those pages into your site takes time. Research to ensure that you are targetting your page content to the words that people are searching for about your topic takes time. And if you are saddled with a "dial-up" internet connection as I am, waiting for data transmission sure takes time! :-)
Looking for a fast buck, an easy ride to get lots of money from the net? Then please look elsewhere.
Are you considering earning some money for honest work, perhaps thinking about working from home, maybe facing retirement and looking for something to fill your days, maybe a stay-at-home Mom or Dad, or you just want to help others learn about your special interest? You can earn money doing so.
Whether those earnings are a lot or a little depends on how many people are looking for information on your subject and how many pages of valuable information you give them when they find your site.
Whatever the amount is, know that you can make money on the world wide web. That's certain.
Now, get writing!

Basic Online Business Techniques...
When someone starts an online business, and many do, they tend to think that they know what they are doing. In other words, they don't have a clue. Everyone keep telling them that they need a nice looking website, throw some affiliate programs on it, advertise at free classifieds pages, and watch the money roll in. Easy money, right? That's what they think.
"I don't need anyone to show me how to do this. It shouldn't be hard at all. Actually, it should be a walk in the park." Many people probably think like that. So they advertise here and there. Free classifieds. Free advertising. Maybe some forum posting every day. Free traffic, right?
A few days go by. Then a few weeks go by and they only made about $30 in sales in one month. Many continue to do this and think that if they keep doing the same thing, maybe a miracle will happen.
Not so......
It so very true that the online work at home arena is highly competitive. If you are doing the same thing and keep getting the same results over and over again, not only are you killing your potential for online success, but you are allowing other competitors to pass you by. The only thing that you need to do is to stop and find someone who is already succeeding with their online business. Become like an investigator. Investigate what they do EXACTLY on a daily basis that created that wealth for them.
Here are a few good pointers on what you can do to succeed online:
1) Start Getting Educated......
Again, find someone who is very successful online and see what they are doing on a daily basis that creates their success. Do some detailed research online as to what methods and techniques are working for them and others. You can not succeed if you keep associating yourself with people who aren't successful online. So you need to take yourself by the hands and start to associate with successful online friends.
2) You need an Auto-responder.....
Before I go into explaining this subject, it is important that you know that you will want to work with an opt in email subscribers who will come to your site and give you their personal permission to send them periodic emails. What you will not want to do is to buy email subscribers. If you do buy them and send them your emails, then this can kill you and your online reputation.
Having and opt-in email list will allow you to free up lots of your time because your prospects will be receiving messages from you periodically and automatically. The nice thing about email marketing is that instead of you having to call them each time you want to promote something, which will take you forever, your auto-responder system will be working for you while you go out and have fun.
Imagine having an opt in list of 10,000 subscribers. If you were to call each one of them to promote one of your programs, think how long it will take you to reach all of them. It would be impossible for you. With email, you can contact them all in a matter of a few seconds or minutes. You write one email and hit the "submit" button, and you are all done.
"If I don't get an auto-responder and email subscribers, will this cut my chances of succeeding online?"
I am not saying that it will, but if you do get one, your income will just keep growing all the time as your subscribers do.
3) Find a mentor
After you find someone who is very successful online, email them and tell them that you will want to work with them one on one if it is possible. Don't try going into their training thinking that you know it all. Listen and follow each guideline that they are recommending to you.
This person will be your mentor. Your coach and most of all, your friend.
By stepping out and trying a proven way to make money online, you will begin to see that you too can make a nice income online. And the best advice that I can also give you is to never ever give up. A lot of people are making nice incomes online and so can you. Believe in yourself and you will succeed.

7 Reasons You Need To Blog For Your Business
If you are not blogging for your business then you should be. While many people simply dismiss blogging because of its description as a web diary they are missing a lot of traffic and revenue generating opportunities every day. Are you one of those missing out?
In truth blogs are much more than a simple web diary. They are actually a content management system and/or an easy web site template. Blogging software allows you to begin posting your content to the Internet in minutes and when you harness that ability with an RSS feed you have a powerful traffic magnet.
I have come up with 7 reasons why every business should have a blog and RSS feed.
1. Publishing a regularly updated blog helps you keep in touch with your existing audience and/or customer base. You can publish updates, news, or thoughts in your blog as well as answer questions.
2. A blog can help you attract new customers. Your blog entries (posts or articles) will become fodder for the search engines and will attract new visitors. If your blog answers the visitors question or attracts their interest you have just found another qualified lead.
3. Blogs and RSS feeds often rank higher in search engines than traditional web sites. Search engines love blogs and RSS feeds. If you design your blog properly then every time you update it the search engines are notified. Even if you don't regularly ping most search engines will revisit blogs more frequently. Plus the very organization of a blog lends itself to spidering and good search engine ranking.
4. Blogs can help you establish or build your reputation in a particular field. As your blog grows you will demonstrate your knowledge in your chosen niche.
5. Blogs and RSS feeds are good revenue streams. You can add pay-per-click ads, affiliate ads, or sell ad space on your blogs. In fact, many PPC companies also provide the ability to add PPC to your RSS feeds.
6. Blogs are great ways to generate leads. Even if you don't want to put any advertising on your blog you can use it to promote or capture leads for your own programs. These are great leads as the fact that they came from your blog means they are already interested in your topic and predisposed to your individual message.
7. Creating your own blog is the easiest way to establish a presence on the Internet and creating an RSS feed is even easier. In fact, it is also the cheapest way to get started on the Internet as there are a number of free blogging sites out there. I started out with http://blogger.com and usually recommend them but have heard others point to several other top blogging sites as well. The blogging software that I now use is WordPress and also happens to be free. In fact, most web hosts now offer WordPress (or other free blogging software) as a free site add-on through Fantastico. Installing WordPress from scratch is quick and easy but Fantastico makes it even easier. Blogs created at Blogger have an RSS feed created for them and WordPress also creates feeds in several variations automatically.
As you can see there are several benefits to starting your own blog and RSS feed. If you can count that many benefits from an Internet marketing technique that is also free and easy then you are foolish not to begin using it for yourself.

10 Reasons For Women To Start An Internet Business
Starting an internet business is in my opinion, one of the fastest and smartest ways women today can make money. Here are 10 reasons for starting an internet business, and one reason why you shouldn’t!
1. Money. Pure and simple, we all could use a more of it. Whether it’s to get out of debt, build a retirement, or just simply make ends meet. With the right guidance, an internet business can start generating income almost immediately.
2. Family. Let’s face it Moms, a lot of you want to be home with your kids. A work at home job is great for just that reason…unless you have to leave home for appointments, parties, or sales calls. Then you’re right back to babysitters and being away from your kids. An internet business truly lets you run it from home.
3. Self Esteem. Many of us are so busy being Moms, and wives, and community members, we forget to forge something in our lives that reflects our inner selves. Starting (and becoming successful) in your own business can boost your feelings of self worth, and that makes everyone in your life a winner!
4. Community. Our communities that we live in are better off for us having started businesses. It provides good role modeling for our children, provides tax base for necessary programs such as police and fire, and a community where people exhibit pride and hard work is a better place to live for us all. Perhaps you will inspire more women in your community to start a business!
5. Tax Benefits. Most women who start a business at home are going to be able to take large tax deductions for their home business. Less taxes means more money in your pocket, and that’s a good thing!
6. Work at Home Household Savings.Working at home means no expensive wardrobes. The average professional suit for a woman can cost over$150! Can you imagine NOT having to buy expensive work clothes anymore, and how much money a year you can save your families budget? Also, how much do you think a work at home mom uses expensive convenience foods and restaurant take out?
7. Flexibility. Because I work at home, I can arrange my schedule to be available when a child is home sick or heartbroken, for a field trip at school, or to just take a mental health day once in awhile and sit at a park and read. How many bosses would give you the day off to read?
8. Being in charge of your own business means you are no longer at the mercy of layoffs. Don’t get me wrong, a home business can crash too…but at least YOU hold the reins and make the decisions, not someone else.
9. You determine how much you work, and how much you make. No more being paid less than you are worth, no more begging for a raise. If you educate yourself right, you can pretty much combine hard work + persistence=unlimited income.
10. You can sell your business later on down the line…it’s an investment! Build it large enough and successful enough, and many website owners have sold their sites for hundreds of thousands of dollars…and started out knowing very little about building an internet business.
One reason NOT to start an internet business…
DO NOT start a business to please anyone else. There is so much pressure on women today to do it all….many times we feel we are not successful unless we make a lot of money, are perfect moms, never gain a pound…you get the idea. Start a business for you, and your dreams, not to convince the world, or the mother in law, or your next door neighbor…that you can do it all. Running a business is not for everyone, but if you want to follow your dreams, work at home, and make a good income, starting an internet business is a great place to start.

5 Ways to Increase Targeted Visitors...That Work!
I have talked to a number marketers on the Internet and by far the biggest reason most of them haven't made money is because they don't bring enough targeted visitors to their websites. I am not saying they don't know how to bring target visitors to their site, because I am sure many of them do. What I am saying is that most marketers are not willing to put in the effort it takes to drive massive amounts of traffic to their sites.
No one likes to admit it, but let's face it most of us are lazy, we are always looking for an easier way to do things. There is nothing wrong with that, but there are some things that just have to be done a certain way and there just isn't a short cut. When it comes to targeted traffic we have all looked for an easier way. I tried auto traffic exchanges, it doesn't get much easier than that. Would you like to guess how many products I sold using auto traffic exchanges. Don't waste your time guessing I have never sold a product using auto traffic exchanges and don't remember ever selling a product using manual traffic exchanges for that matter. I am not against using traffic exchanges they have their place, but selling products is not one of them.
You are probably thinking when is he going to get to the 5 ways to increase targeted visitors. I am getting there, but you need to understand the 5 ways are important, but the reason you are not making money is not because you don't know the 5 ways to bring targeted traffic to your site, the reason you are not making money is because you don't believe they work. You may have tried a few of the ways to get targeted traffic, but never put in a lot of effort or did it the way you wanted to do it because doing it the way you were told to do it would just take too long. The people that will make money after reading this article are the people that have a burning desire to make it no matter what the cost, and no matter how much time it takes. The people that came to the Internet looking for an easier way to make money than going to a dead end job will have to wake up and realize that making money on the Internet is not a lot easier than going to that job. Those that accept that and stop looking for the easy way to make money will benefit from this article.
5 Ways to Increase Target Visitors
1. Writing Articles
2. Search Engine Traffic
3.Posting In Forums
4. List Building
5.Viral Marketing
An article is restricted to a certain number of words so I can not tell you exactly how to use the 5 ways to increase targeted visitors, but you can find that information at any marketing forum for free, one I use a lot is The Warrior Forum. I hope you noticed that most of the 5 ways to get targeted traffic involve writing, most people have trouble writing, I have trouble with it, that is what this article is about, just buckle down and do it no matter how hard it is. Don't be like some people and write an article and say to yourself, it took so long to write this article I will just submit it to 10 article directories. You need to submit that article until your fingers can't type any more, if you will do that it can get easier, because then you will be making some money that you can use to have ghost writers write articles for you.
Good Luck!

Good Luck!

5 Steps To A Successful Internet Business
STEP 1. Find something you feel is a good business opportunity. You can scour the internet for all sorts of different business ideas and opportunities. Doing a search on any search engine with the keywords Work At Home, Business Opportunities, Home Based Business, Affiliate Programs, Make Money Online, etc., will produce 1000's of different search results. Affiliate programs are THE ABSOLUTE BEST business opportunities out there because the ONLY thing you need to do to run your internet business is to market your affiliate link. With a traditional business you must deal with inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks and credit cards just to name a few! Not so with affiliate programs, once someone has clicked on your affiliate link your only job is getting the next person to click on it. Sweet deal!
STEP 2. Get your own webpage. You want to put your internet business on a webpage of your own. A webpage is like a store front. It projects respect to your business and who you are. Think about it. Do you feel the same about buying from a vendor on the street as you do about buying from a person in a store? They’re both vendors, but the store gives you a certain feeling about the person you are buying from that a street vendor just can’t give you! Your webpage dose not have to be fancy. If you only have a brief description of what your webpage is about along with individual descriptions of your product or products people will respect that. If it is affiliate programs you have decided upon, simply put a BRIEF description of what is being offered along with your affiliate link. Do not disclose too much in your description because people might THINK they know what it is all about and not click on your link. You want to let your affiliate website do all the selling for you. These sites are professionally designed to maximize the number of people who buy or join so a brief description, just enough to spike their curiosity, is sufficient.
STEP 3. Get your own Blog and make one post a day. A Blog, short for, “Web Log,” is a great way to establish yourself as an authority figure on whatever topic you decide. As people return to read your daily articles, they will eventually come to view you as an authority on whatever your Blog is about. They will eventually develop confidence in what you are saying, and will begin to trust you. As a result some people will check out your webpage to see what you have to offer them, and people tend to buy more from people they know and trust. Their confidence in you will be an additional factor that will compel people to buy from you. There are many places online that will host and let you set up your Blog for free.
STEP 4. Put Cost-Per-Click(CPC) advertising such as Google AdSense on your website. Having Cost-Per-Click advertising on your website is a way to earn additional income that can be VERY substantial. Most people who visit your website will not buy from you. If people are going to leave your website, wouldn’t you rather them leave through a link on your website that will pay you money every time someone clicks on it? Google makes putting their AdSense on your website E-A-S-Y! The ads are relevant to the content of your website. Google can even put its AdSense on your Blog as we’ll.
STEP 5. Write and submit articles to article submission sites. This is the most important advice you need to know. This is how you will get FREE advertising! People are searching the internet for free information. When you submit your articles online, the search engines will eventually find them and will spider every word. When people do a search using keywords or phrases that are in your articles, they will turn up in the search results, so be sure to insert highly searched for keywords and phrases into your articles! You will need to include at the bottom of all your articles your bio. Your bio will contain a brief description about who you are along with a link to your website. It might read for instance [ John Doe is the owner of yoursite.com. John helps people to work at home using various business opportunities that include affiliate programs. If you desire your own home based business visit http://www.yoursite.com] The more articles you write and submit, the higher the chances are of your articles keywords and phrases showing up on search results. The more links you have pointing back to your website, the higher your websites page rank with the search engines will be, meaning the higher up on the search results will your article turn up, so don’t stop writing and submitting articles! I do want to stress however, quality over quantity. Take your time and check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. No one will take what you have to say seriously if you don’t write correctly.
So there you have it! Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. It dose not take any special skill or any great intelligence. If you follow these five steps, you cannot fail. The most important thing, as with anything in life, is persistence. Continue following steps three and five and watch your internet business grow!
